B-Spec mode question.

I am now using b-spec mode to play the 24 hours race. i learnt how to speed up the monitoring speed to 3 times, Which helps a lot anyway, however i found the monitoring speed was going back to normal as soon as the car entered the pit stop. Now my question is , how can i leave my ps2 alone and run the x3 speed until it finish the race ?

I don't actually have the game, but from what I have read, you must manually put it back in 3x mode after a pit stop.
 
Can you use B Spec for bits of the race and drive bits of it or does it have to be one or the other?
 
Can you tell the car to take a pit, or on can you tell the car to pit after 8 laps or something. I just dont want to leave the cpu to decide when to pit and everything.
 
In B spec you can press "circle" button to make your AI driver pit in.
 
You can leave your ps2 on overnight and come back and you will be that much further ahead in the race. However, it won't happen at 3x speed. Also, there is a bug that sometimes happens in B spec. Your car will pit in and sit in the pits and not do anything. I woke up one morning to find that my car had been in the pits for 8 hours and i had been lapped 178 times!
 
what a terrible bug... did u still win the race ?

As mentioned:

* You can only shift to 3x mode manually
* You don't need to tell the driver to pit, he will pit when his tires are gone or he is low on fuel.
* You can tell the driver to pit manually by pressing the circle button. That will make him pit the next time he comes around. You can't tell hime to wait x number of laps before coming in.
* If you wait too long to put out the pit sign, the driver won't pit on that lap. You usually have to put it out at least before he goes through the last corner before the pits, depending upon the course.
 
sweet! new tips on how to race when i get my gt4 =) i can beat the game faster... but then .. wont have the gt3 2hr races with no brakes trying to finish the game before going to sleep and having to go to school the next morning.. now you can just go BEEP ( bspec mode) sleep wake up for school and its done.. but then... its not as fun... =(

i like racing games, but not that crazy as try to finish all 24hours races in real time mode. Although the game is fun, as i am not a kid anymore, there are more important things than playing the game. Don't have that much time to sit still for my ps2, i need to get enough sleep for work. Plus playing for that long is risking your health.. When i played over 6hours my thumb is sore, and focusing on the screen for that long is not good for our eyes anyway. I can race with anything anytime if i want to later. but first, i just want to unlock all the cars, so i can have fun playing them on different tracks.
