Has anyone else seen this?

In B-Spec only, from my experience, the other eleven cars use racing tires (when available) no matter the weather. So if it is raining, their first lap will be one where they all "race" 50 mph or so and have to pit to start lap 2.

It worked out well for me once because I forgot to change tires myself...but overall...pretty disappointing as Bob can lap them all within 5 laps...depending on the track.

Yeah, i've seen this twice. Once on the Dream Car GT series and can't remember the other time.

This happened to me in Aspec for every rain race I did in the Dream Car championship. I redo those events often to get xp and because its fun and every time they pit. Kinda a bummer. :indiff: They didn't do it for the SuperGT Suzuka race though. I'm not there yet in BSpec.

Ys, it was hilarious. Saw the rain and equipped bob with rain tires. Everyone else was going like ducks on ice would pit at the end of first lap. By the time they get out, Bob has almost a 1.5 min. lead.

In a case which I suspect is rubber-banding, the cars seem to go almost 10s/lap faster than the fastest Bob could manage and they catch up to him by the last lap. But can't really overtake him once they get close.

Even funnier is the next race (Tokyo, sunny). They all have rain tires from previous race and has to pit at the end, giving at least 30 sec lead.

It was hilarious watching all the silliness :)

Hmmm what i'm doing wrong? I can't pit in on B-Spec? too low lvl'ed? i think i'm lvl 15.

I think the "pit-in" command only appears in the Extreme and (I guess) Endurance events (I am only level 20 B-spec so haven't unlocked Endurance yet). I've re-done Expert level 19 races having hit level 20, and there's no pit option, so it seems to be based on the event level rather than your b-spec or driver level.

I found this in A-Spec and in B-Spec, I always make sure what tires on on the car before the start of the race. I found if you change the tires in B-Spec to intermediates when it rains and the driver wont have to make a pit stop.
