I left it on Nurburging 24h race, and I've B-speced plenty of races. I come back a few hours later to see that im a few laps behind in a couple of hours, I'm running a fully modded Minolta 88C-V. In the first few laps I got about half a lap ahead. As I come back to see I've been lapped, so I start watching to figure out. My tires are blood red and he doesn't pit. The 'Pit Stop' was on automatically like it should be, but he just goes right past it. So I took it off to see if that would help, he goes right by it again. Out of nowhere he'll pit when he should for a few laps, then stop for like 10 in a row while hes stuck at 49 MPH. Any ideas what this could be caused from? A possible glitch? And I started it in B-spec and havent switched to A-spec at all.

What B-spec points do you have? You have to train your B-spec driver well enough, so he can pits himself.

I can't say that I've ever had that happen, and I did that race with the 88C-V. My stig did run out of gas once, but he got back into the pit fine after driving 3/4 of the way around the track with minimal fuel.

Can you tell me what happened if you ran out of gas completely? I've wanted to ask this question long time ago. :dopey: Do they deliver gasoline to you or they drag you to pit stop?

I am not sure if this is the case, but I noticed that at Nurburgring if the tires are, lets say, yellow they will go past the pit, but since the track it so big they wear out before they can get back near the pit. Now with glowing red tires the B-Spec driver can not manuever the car into pit row and passes it by (out of control). He may get lucky and finally get it in there on red tires.

With the Minolta you have to use Hard tires on the front and super hards on the back. I used the Cadillac Cien for the 24 hour Nurb' race and had no problem.

It limits your speed to 49mph.

You could be right. Also I never push my driver to 5 on the Nurburing, always use 3 (steady). Even tires are dark orange or red sometimes, he doesnt make too big of mistake.

He's racing right now so I can't tell you his skill levels, the last time I checked I was in the 60's in all 3. The him being out of control thing could be it, I'll try to pay attention next time. 👍

Hit Circle and put the speed on 1 (slow down) if you want him to pit. Then he won't accientally overshoot it.

Oh crap, now you lot have got me worried. :scared: :scared: I've just started Bob off on The 24hr Nurburgring race, now I'll be worried about him missin the pits! :nervous:

Put it in fast forward and stay in the room for about a half hour.By then you should see if he pits or not. 👍

So far so good, he's been going for 2 hours, but he's only getting 5 laps on one set of tires.

That used to happen to me. The problem is that when you have your pace setting at anything above 3, and the tires are getting yellow-orange, Bob tends to lose control after the straight, and then over-shoots the pit entrance, making him have to go another lap on orange tires and of course, spinning out in almost every corner. The trick is to put the pace setting at around 1 or 2 when you're coming to the end of the straight, in the lap that you want to pit in (of course). Bob shouldn't have much trouble after the straight and manage to go into the pits trouble-free.

My guy did this too. He'd run his tires bald, come down the back stretch ready to pit, and spin out and miss the pit. Even after he ran out of gas, he'd still take the corner wrong and miss the entrance and keep going. Just put the setting on 1 till he pits and then move it back to 3 or whatever it was on. 👍

Yep, i think i was doing the 700 Miles! championship in the European Hall. I forget exactly what car it was (60's or 70's Model) and he kept on spinning out or crashing and missing the pit lane. Thats when your pit management comes into play. You have be able to calculate how good your tyres will be by the end of the lap and that you have enough fuel to make it aswell. Not really one of those races you can start in B-Spec and walk away and hope to win.

i did the nurburgring 24h yesterday (winning a blue f1 car :) ) using the vw w12 nardo + s1 na tune (706hp) :) . i used racing super-hard tyres 👍 , b-spec bob (did the whole race :) ) would pit at the end of every 4th lap (end of 4, 8, 12 etc...). but when coming off the end of the long straight at the end of the lap, he would spin/ slide around and completely miss the pit enter lane :grumpy: . he would then try to get into the pits by hitting the barrier  . so, to stop this, i found that if near the end of the straight, put bob onto 2 instead of 3 and he would be ok.

My Blob-speccer was doing the same thing. Forget which car he did it on. Was either the ZZ11 or the Minolta. The rear tyres were wearing faster, he'd lose control (on pace setting 3) and overshoot the pit entrance, making him go around for another lap. The long length of the lap made his tyres far worse by the time he got to the pits again, and made him even more likely to miss the entrance. Then he would run out of fuel. I solved it by putting RM tyres on the front (RSH on the rear) so that the fronts would wear out first, making him understeer face first into the pit lane rather than reversing past it at warp snot and having to do a complete lap skidding around on the wheel rims. I also felt that the resultant evil handling from the mixed tyres was ample punishment for him being such a moron. On these tyre settings, he unlapped himself and won the race, so I didn't have to restart.

take off the turbo on the minolta and run the race of speed 1 and it will all be fine [well it was for me]

exactly what this guy said. if you're running on red tires and got ya speed meter on 4 or 5, Bob will invariably skid past the pit stop. put ya speed meter down to 1 or 2 as you're approaching the end of the long straight.
