It seems that my B-spec driver makes more mistakes when on x3 speed. I wonder if anyone else experienced this problem

i.e. On the test track , my Formula GT always crashes into the wall when coming out on the corner , but hen in live view , he doesn't .

How high is your B-spec skill? I dont usually b-spec but I know that sometimes, the driver always has problems with certain corners if not taken at the right speed. I think you may want to check your driving speed (1-5) and make sure you are not going into a corner too fast.

Do you mean race time speeds as apposed to how hard ur pushing? if so i have used b-spec a few times and not really noticed any difference but the best advice i can give is to keep an eye on b-spec bob and slow him down near tight corners as he seems to have a fetish for taking stupid pills!

For the races I always use medium pace , sometimes increased , but never push hard. When I keep an eye on him , He doesn't crash or do weird things but when on x3 ... I also checked the tyre wear.

B-Spec skill :6844

I do the same thing as Netclash. I just leave it at 3 and check it every 10 minutes. Sometimes i leave it at 4 if the cource is easy. I have something like 5500 b-spec points.

I have sometimes wondered if that is the case but have never tested it. He does seem accident prone on 3x time, but when I start watching him so I can laugh at his mishaps, he behaves himself. Maybe he's not incompetent, but simply mischievous, and likes getting up to no good when he thinks you can't see him :boggled:

I recently started using B-Spec, haven't observed if he makes more mistakes on x3(when you push L1+right Dpad) though. But what I could tell is sometimes, the B-spec driver don't know how to overtake. hehe! That is, he will just try to push the car infront of him, instead of finding a way to overtake.

I know!! It's so incredibly annoying. Sometimes he can go around for laps like that, even if the opponent's car is a LOT slower and less powerful than your own.. It is really a big problem sometimes. But, what are we gonna do about it? :ouch:

Well if you turn on x3 that only accelerates time so It's just a coincidence . And with more battle skill he will overtake more easily. I'm at 98/90/89 and he starts to be able to do races in an equal car

I agree. On X3 speed he will make three times as many mistakes as he does on X1 speed in the same amount of time. So it just seems like more. Otherwise, I have never noticed any difference. Also, if you are just looking at the "off course" indicator it may show minor two wheel offs that you wouldn't normally notice watching real time. Just guessing...

I have to say that sounds very plausible. He is perhaps crashing with the same frequency per virtual minute, but at 3X speed he will crash three times as often per real minute.

U may be right . . .
But think , it accelerates time . But is the game engine up for that ? I mean , When accelerated , do they have to drive three times as fast (ie) to keep up with the time? :D
Just guessing

The game engine only simulates the little letters on the map and sometimes it will simulate a crash. You think that he crashes more but he crashes the same number of time in 1/3 of the time

Lol , gt_masta , got it .I was kinda speculating ,... :D

The truth is out there, ...
Somewhere

My question is, why would anyone not run B spec at 3x speed when they are monitoring?
Normal speed is for when you are not monitoring, ie, sleep or work.
If you run at normal speed you should do the driving yourself.
Because time is speeded up it justs appears the cars have more offs.

My main beef with my B-spec driver is that he uses too much fuel. Even on '1' speed he uses more fuel than me.

Than that may be because fuel consumption is based on time.

I think the consumption of fuel is only affected by distance traveled by the car (in B-spec)

he travels the same distance as you but in more time if he uses more fuel that must be because he's slower

Well, i just wish that we all finally meet this B-spec driver. What will you do if you meet him? hehehe!

Maybe I'll try to give him a GT4 basic tutorial..

I just make sure I have the fastest car and then keep it on 1 or 2, man I wish we had this b-spec in GT3
