B3 gold, easier on GT3 than GT1 ?

After getting gold for all B licenses in GT3 I tried the same with GT1
B3 gold at Deep Forest took ( turn 1 )me about half an hour with GT3. Now after 2 hours I can't get the gold for the same license in GT1.
Is it more difficult with GT1 or am I missing something ?

umm, the controls on the ps2 are pressure sentive, that would probably do it.

you barely press the brakes on gt1 and you got 100% brake pressure, on gt3 you barely press the brakes it should be around 30%ish
 
I'm going out on a limb and guessing it's the same corner on the same track in both games. Does it use the same car? Same times?

I don't know if you're right or wrong, frankly doesn't matter, but I'd like to point out that the DualShock 2 has TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY FIVE points of sensitivity. You can test that it has a lot by holding the break and easing on to the accellerator. Watch the speedometer. You can move it in tiny increments. I would assume breaking works the same.
