B8 Mission Race Nissan GT-R help...

Hi, i'm new posting in this great forum as I just started playing seriously GT5P. I had my driving force gt almost a year ago but couldn't use it properly because I had no place to put it, finally I bought a WheelStandPro and now I am enjoying it.

I've made 50+ attempts for the B8 event with the GT-R and my best time has been 1:12.200. I really want to get gold in this event. Could somebody please give any advise on it? Tips or anything to improve it? I saw a video on metacafe website searching B8 Event GT5 and it's amazing how this guy gets 1:11.650 absolutely clean. My settings are manual transmission, no ASM, no TCS, and 2 in ABS. Professional physics and no active steering.

Any help would be well received. Thanks, so far I have all the events in Gold. I'm playing since last thursday.
 
Set ABS on 1, set physics to standard.
 
Me too, I had a hard time to race with that car. In fact, if I keep it no ASM, no TCS, and 2 in ABS, Professional physics and no active steering, I find this car impossible to handle. The back is always going everywhere brutally.

And I will never go back to standart physics in this game.
 
I can't gold this one either. I've tried everything; burned away a good portion of a Sunday afternoon a few weeks back before give up. I don't have a wheel, tho. Shouldn't that make a difference, or no?

Unfortunately the event times/AI doesn't change if you move from standard to physics. This means you're losing a lot of time with the advanced physics.

I can't remember this exact mission but if you change it to standard physics I'm sure you'll do it straight away :)
 
The untuned GT-R is a handful in pro physics. I won't say this event is impossible to gold in pro, but it is impossible for me.

Those who are determined not to use std physics will find some of the events near impossible to gold. I have taken gold in every normal race event in pro physics, but the mission races and TTs I have bronze or silver in pro.

Most of us who want all gold have to resort to std for some events. Fortunately for those determined not to use std, gold is not required to pass the events. And there is no reward for getting all golds. No car. No money. No trophy.

Oh, one important thing... Anybody who hasn't gone online and done the Spec III update you should. Many events were made easier in the Spec III update.

Except that it's a time trial and tuning is not allowed.

I almost said "Aah, but you can" and then remembered that it's not an overtake mission... :rolleyes:

I'm still stuck on silver too, but I'm currently using standard physics, ASM on 1, TCS off, and ABS at 2. I'm getting better, though.
