This is excellent news.

Of course, I high;ly douby Jordan would decide not to make a sub-forum for the drifters. We all know, in the GT3 forums, the drifters have their small community. Of course, many will move on to GT4.

I don't suppose the thread moderation is selective? i.e. the "old timers" who know what we're on about would be let through? Not sure if the programming can support it.. Just a thought, no biggie (since any decent thread will be allowed through easily enough).

As for sub-forums, here's what I'd suggest:

Cars (screencaps, general discussion, etc)
Tracks (screencaps, general discussion, laptimes, etc)
Settings (xxx car on xxx track, etc)
Drifting
Online (which would also include the standard Weekly Races from the current "Online" forum, which I think should still exist for those of us who don't play online).
Races & Licenses (where folks can discuss specific Missions, Licenses, etc.. after a few months, the "Licenses" name could probably be removed from the forum title, although it would still be the place to talk about it).
General GT4 Discussion

The reason I mention separate car/track forums is because this game is so damn full of them. Car Lists, and how to win/unlock them, etc, same for tracks. This game is so much bigger than anything that's come before, and I'm sure I'm right in saying these forums are much bigger by now as well.. I'd wager to say GTP's membership has at least doubled in the last twelve months. With that many people floating around, the more segregated the forums are, the more organized everything will be, and it'll be a lot easier for everyone.

The Search First page has been updated, and all new threads in the GT4 Forum must be approved before they are displayed.

I've just encountered a minor problem...

Click on New Thread, and a nice intermediary page appears. At the bottom it says: "After you have used the above resources, click here to create a new thread."

Nice touch... :D So I click.

Oh dear. A nice intermediary pages appears, at the bottom of which it says: "After you have used the above resources, click here to create a new thread."

And so on. It's stuck in a loop! Perhaps if I send the message "3" to Lt. Cmdr Data, he can stop the Enterprise exploding and prevent the loop? [/appalling Trek gag]

:D

You shouldn't make new threads you n00b ;)

I don't think you should have removed some of those stickys. Is it possible to sticky something, but remove the "Read This:" tags at the start of those threads, so that they will look like actual posts?

This way they stay stickied, and people will actually notice them.

Right - there is a way around it - it's just the link is pointing to the wrong place (it's pointing to the same page again). I've submitted the thread and, pending moderator review of it, you all ought to find it useful.

All the stickies (and more) have been bundled in the Look here before you ask! thread. This is how it's been in the GT3 forum for years.

No, not really possible.

Eek...that wasn't very minor!!! Fixed now. :)

Star Trek - The Next Generation, Cause and Effect - Season 5, Episode 18. Watch it... :D

I'd like to bump this back up to state that my car list is still locked so I still cannot update and correct it...

Also, I think that whoever is checking over all the new threads in the GT4 Forum really needs some help. There's something wrong when my thread about a possible new car in the North American release isn't deemed worthy of being posted in the forum while other somewhat redundant threads seem to keep appearing...

Again? Why was it locked in the first place?
It was locked to prevent Yahoos from posting a thousand stupid posts in it. I don't believe the locker realized it would prevent any other edits as well.

The 359, please check your PMs.
