Hi :)

I am thinking of backing up my data of gt5 and gt5 alone and was wondering how much data was needed to do in so I know how much space is needed and if my usb is big enough to have it. Plus how do you do it. When I put my usb stick in nothing comes up.

Help is appreciated, thanks :)

It only needs to have 10MB or more as the save file is not that much and with the USB not registering, I think it needs to be a Sony USB Stick otherwise it isn't compatible.

The usb stick should appear in. 'save data' file. Just copy the data onto the stick and you can do what you like then with it. The save data can range from 500kb to over 4000kb depending on your progress.

No,
but any usb stick formated in FAT32 work

I use also a usb memory card reader with SD card or Compact Flash also formated in FAT32 that work well.
;)

You can see the size of your save file by going to save data or something like that on your ps3 then find gt5 and hit triangle, you also do this to copy to a flash drive.

I'm sure your USB will be big enough unless it's from 1999. You know it will transfer fine if the ps3 recognizes the USB at all. I have lots of different hard drives and USB that plug in fine and transferred fine. The FAT32 as the guy mention is also correct. Your USB is probably already formatted that way. Again you know of it is when you plug it in and the ps3 sees it.
