Background music problem

I've just recently started using the custom music options. I had set up an ozzy album for the in game music, but found that to be a little distracting when driving. Now even when I turn it off, or try to play a different album it plays the default music instead. Please help this is very annoying. Thanks in advance

After choosing a song/album for the Menu's music, change the Menu BGM volume. It'll play the song you clicked on. If it still changes back to the default music after clicking OK, then I'm not sure what else you can do.

This sort of happens to me after each update. It always ends up working for me.

Thanks Brutha. I'll give this a try after work.

Still having problems. I've finally been able to turn off in race music but can't get the custom music to play at all. Is it possible to have the same music for the menus and for in race?

Think so but you'll have to tinker with settings in the music track list for each song.

I've been having a bit of a problem with the Menu BGM not playing. It's never happened like this before.

Yeah I'm even getting random stops in all sound. It's rather annoying when in a race all of the sudden mid way thru a corner the sound dies for a half second. Or as I'm approaching the shift point and sound cuts.

I'm not sure if this is related but. Today I also had the game freeze and I had to do a hard reboot.

The volume seems to be better. By that, I mean that they're better balanced. I had the Sound Effects volume at 60% and Race BGM at 100%. Now, the Sound Effects aren't as audible, or as easily heard, as it was before. This is a good thing for me, although, obviously not the rest is a good thing .

I've never really had these issues, maybe using a shorter playlist may help?

My playlist is only 1 cd. Alice in chains live from NY. I'm gunna give it another try tonight if that font work I'll delete game data then reinstall.

Ok so I've deleted my game data and reinstalled. I still can't use custom music for in race. I'm sure it's not me doing something wrong, as I have no problem setting up the menu background music. It just plays the normal game disk music.

Please if anyone can help me out or link me a trouble shooting post.

How do you just turn off the BGM period? I don't really care about music while I am racing. I would prefer to just have race sounds only. I can't get the custom playlist to work either so I just want the music gone from the races. Thanks.

When you're on a track, you can pause the game and lower the volume for the BGM or Sound Effects and you'll be able to turn them off from there. Another way is to go to the main Options to adjust the volume for Replays and choosing what music you hear if you wanted to.
