Backing up data

If I back up my play data on a memory stick, and take it to a friend's home, will it load everything? Or, is this also going to be an issue. Seems ridiculous to think they would remove the portability. Will all cars show up when I load the data onto a friend's ps3?
 
I believe it will as long as you don't go online 👍

OK, so time for the real story (didn't want to sound rich, because I'm not). I am retired, and have a winter home down south, with a 2nd ps3. So, after playing all winter, are we saying that when I go to my main home, in the spring, I will not be able to pick up where I left off in FL.?

If you have the same PSN ID you will be fine.

Well, then I am not concerned with the update, as long as they make grinding a non-issue. Thanks.
