Do you have to something like Max drive to back up your memory card to you computer or upload a new game save to the memory card ? Can you use any usb memory stick ?

I ask this as I have downloaded some game saves and at the same time I'm hearing of ppl getting there car's to go insane speed with a game shark. I got my Escudo to go 648.8 mph on the test track. The only thing is the car became airborne and it wasn't a real speed I find. I wan't to be able to the car or a car to do insane lap times on the test course basically.

That's insane. 42,000 hp ? Any car with that much power would fly you would think.

Oh yeah. Welcome to GT Planet Nokiafan. :)

Thanks. I hope to learn some tricks and aply them to the game from here. From what I seen alot of you guys are pretty good at this game. That drifting is neat way to tackle the corners without going off the course.

Drifting isn't a good way to tackle corners if you want good lap times though. I drift just because i completed the game years ago and i picked it up one day and tried drifting, been doing only that since then. Makes it a new game really. I don't care what anyone says, drifting is not as fast as grip. Any help needed just ask, someone will take care of you:) And also if you ever want any info on a car, just check out parnelli bone's website...f'n crazy info! LoL.

...yet there are times during actual races when the best way to attack a corner may be with a drift. Or at least a partial slide. Maybe an ai car is blocking your way or about to knock into you. Rather than taking the full cornering path (grip style) which requires a lot of room, you may find that a pivot or a slide of your own may get you thru that corner in a different manner that allows you to get ahead, or at least not get hit by ai.

...I hope I'm making sense 💡

Alot of times I have a hard time focusing on the track as there is to many cars around me or I dont have enough room or I just get bumped.

I get you loud and clear...ah that scares me:lol:
yes sometimes and i do say sometimes it is faster to do a partial drift. But pure drifting is another story on this subject.

You're right! I have a habit of practicing drifts on those rare occasions that I get ahead of the Ai,...but that's to keep from gettin bored.

The thing about the Ai is they often drive with predictable patterns. Once you get to know them you can say "Oh, that guy's about to take this corner too wide" and he does. Or you'll have a car behind you and you'll know he's about to slam into you (due to the way you know he drives). Rather than allowing this to happen, you can let him pass....maybe get a draft down the next straight and pass him later. Once you know how they drive, you can drive with them for awhile, then wait for your break and get by them. That's how real-life drivers do it, the game is pretty much the same (unless you're just bashing into everyone)_.

We keep sayin it takes lots of practice and it does...but if you love racing games shouldn't you be spending lots of time practicing anyways? 💡

Something i never really thought about in GT3 until you just said it PB, does drafting have an effect in GT3? I know what you are saying about learning the AI. I have noticed that most of the supercars are total jerks. They will bump, knock and do anything else they can to get ahead. I remember one race where i was running with the AI the whole time just because i wanted to, and there was a skyline that every straight to a corner he would ram me while we were going into some corners. So eventually i said ok, and as we were coming on the corner i was in the rear view mode to see how close he was then as he was coming up to smash me in again i just kinda jerked over towards the inside of the corner. This just messed him up because he didn't have me to bounce of of, only the grass and wall...LOL.

Drafting and air resistance are real in all GT games, including GT3. When you follow close enough to a sim car you can even hear the wind noise cut off matter of fact. Look at your speed; you'll be gaining speed faster and faster till you are able to pass. In some GT4 license tests it is actually required that you follow and draft the pace car if you want gold.

Yes...if you could see one of my replays, you'd see the Ai cars rarely hitting me...I know how to avoid them and incorporate that into my game along with efficient cornering. 💡 I'll let them pass me. I'll do "fake-switches" just as you described (the Ai is about to ram into me but at the last second I'll out maneuver them so all they have left is a wall!
