:ouch:

Just blown around £3,000,000.00 and not happy.

Won bugatti and it wasx amazing, won every race that I entered with it. In my wisdom I then decided to spend a couple of hundered thousand doing modifications, all the weight reduction and power increase modifications. I then got back into the car and it was garbage, would not go around a corner at more than 75MPH. Drove me nuts and to make things worse I was unable to sell the car, had to throw it away as I couldn't stand looking at it each time I went to My garage.

Then did exactly the same with a £500,000 + £200,000 modifications shelby cobra.

Also bought an M5 and now this turns over every time you try to turn a corner at more than 50mph £300k down the pan lol.

All 3 cars now in the bin, is there any guides as to what modifications NOT to do?

Bad day:grumpy: ho ho ho.

Actually, you could have fixed all three cars, go in the tuning section and look for setups for these cars.

Proper suspension can do a world of difference.

As mentioned before: suspension. A good setup can go a long way before you even need to make any changes to the engine.

Hi.
Just like the guys said. Suspension
If You go back to standard suspension, check the settings.
There is usually height set to 0, springs to lowest value, dampers 1, anti roll to 1.
Then go to fully customisable, and You will see the values set to 2 to 4 times higher than default standard. Lower the fully customisable suspension to lowest values and work up from there nto Your liking.

Good luck

Never found any cars that couldnt be Re-tuned in previous GT series reminds me if the Suzuki Escuda in earlier series Or Toyota Gt1 road car could really mess them op with wrong settings.

You probably had comfort tyres or something.

I did this in gt3 with my zonda, got it to over 1200bhp however even with the best handeling stuff installed it had no grip. It was a very fast car but extrememly difficult to drive. I think that might be your problems, if all else fails try it on ovals thats what I used my zonda for.

Put some tires on it and give it to bob/bettie and you'll see.

As far as bad mods, I don't like how weight reduction is permanent.

Um.. ever thought of TCS? :dunce:

It's easy to over-tune a car, to be fair. The problem with reducing weight then increasing the power is that you increase the torque, so the wheels will spin more easily, and the weight you took away was pressing the tyres into the ground, so the wheels will spin more easily again. Lengthening the gear ratios appropriately will help, as will (as others have said) tuning the suspension to reduce the weight shifting and basically improve the relationship between the tyre and the ground, thus improving grip. Getting grippier tyres is a must, too. If the cars can have aero parts added, do so, then you can increase the downforce too (which adds some of the weight you took away, although only at speed, but then this is a racing sim so you rarely stop and start and such). As a result you should have a car that is more stable in turns and less prone to spinning.

bugatti... shelby cobra...
Actually two of the worst cars ever to start with.
Go in the tuning section of the forum and search for the cars you want to setup. (better if you go in a tuner shop/garage) and then follow their tuning schedule. You will have great setup and you will understand how they did it. Than if you want start your own use an easier car to start with, maybe a 4x4.

OP sorry its your fault, your just dumb, dont cry about it though just start saving again.
Coming from someone who doesn't know the difference between you're and your.

edit: Oops it's been said already. I will emphasize using proper grammar before calling someone stupid.

I'm sure when he reaches 7th grade they will try to teach him that in class.

Careful...........he'll call you an E-nerd too!:D

First of, what's with the flaming? The 'Standard vs. Premium' thread was more civilised than that, prior to GT5's release...

Anyways, the Veyron isn't exactly known for it's handling capabilities. It's a fat, understeery boat. The Cobra is the exact opposite. Lose, unstable, an axe murderer. Neither car will handle very well while stock and much less so with more power.

As has been mentioned before, it comes down to tuning the car. Suspension setups go a long way in that regard. As do the settings for the LSD and brake bias.
Getting aero parts from GT Auto will help to a certain extend as well.

Tuned the Mclaren F1 stealth with a few mods (Turbo I think) and messed it up. Took another half hour of practice runs and tweaking suspension before it became manageable again.
The Veyron I've only just got and haven't tried it yet. The cobra was one of my favs on GT4, clocked up about 10000 miles on thing in a short time!
