During my morning tea break I was browsing through the tech section of my local daily news paper and found this -
(Those who are easily upset, look away now!)
The recent decision to suspend Polyphony Digitals production operation has come, in part, from Sony Incs CEO Howard Stringer. Stringers reasons for the move, which will bring an end to Polyphony Digitals main line of entertainment Gran Turismo, was put down to corporate restructuring in an effort to focus development on future (consoles) rather than game production. It is unclear at this time whether Polyphony Digital will resume their work on the next title in the series. Head of the sub-company Kazunori Yamuachi has yet to comment on the current situation.
Looks like it's game over for PD. Looks like GT5 is the last of its kind.
