Ever since the last update (to get rid of the lame car hackers)I am only able to run one race and the game locks up. This also happens in the Seasonal Events as well. I can hop all over the community, dealers, etc but that is the extent of it. Is there any way I can uninstall the last update and re-install it? I miss racing:grumpy:

You would have to delete your game data and re-download/install all of it.

Have you tried disabling the network connection and played the game offline?
It might be a connection issue.

See if the game still acts up offline and If so, try re-installing all updates. It's a bit of a long wait, but hey, it's better than not being able to play the game.

How do I go about re-intalling the updates? Is there a menu for that? Thanks for the reply to my question

It's not the connection my friend... I play BlackOps II online with zero interuptions to my gameplay

In order to reinstall the updates, you'll need to delete the game data, in the XMB menu. (Be careful NOT to delete your savegame!)

From the SONY support:
In the XMB home menu, go to
icn_game.gif
(Game) > [Game Data Utility].
Important: Make sure you select [Game Data Utility]. Do NOT select [Saved Data Utility], as this will delete all of your saved games files.

Highlight the game data utility file (i.e., name of a particular game you have been playing) you wish to delete.

Press the
icn_btntriangle_color.gif
button and select [Delete].

Highlight "Yes" and press the
icn_btnx_color.gif
button to confirm the deletion.

A message indicating the file is being deleted will appear.

A "Delete completed." message will appear once the file has been successfully deleted.

If you wish to play this particular game again, you will be prompted to reinstall this game data utility file (which may take several minutes).

Removing a game data utility file will NOT affect your online stats (if you have any).

When you load the game for first time after deleting the "Game Data" you will get prompted to install available updates, just hit yes and give your PS3 time to get all the updates and install them, it will take some time.

:D advice from one of the lame car hackers :D Playing GT4.5 Hybrid Edition lol

Hahaha good one:tup:
I wish I still had a PS2 oh the memories.

Thank you very much Dean... I will be assured not to delete my "saved game" data. Even if I do, I have it on two different memory sticks. I've learn that lesson eons ago and that will never happen to me again. Thanks once again

I was having the same problem, but I had never loaded the game data to my hard drive. Things worked fine off the game disc for 2 1/2 years, but once I loaded to the hard drive my connection problems largely disappeared.

Me too, I miss my PS2, it was a work horse lol I call GT5 GT4.5 because it's more GT4 then anything else lol.. GT5 is like a half port of GT4. Hybrid Edition because I roll 2.11 :D

reinstall all and before the start to download the last patch, disconnect your NET.
but...this not work because for run online, GT5 need the patch 2.12.

I can help you cause i had the same problem!
Delete the game data (not your save)
Reïnstall it BUT stop after it installed the 21th update.
Then play the game without doing the last update, now it will probably work (did for me)
Play for like atleast for 10 mins. (i think)
Then exit to the XBM, start gt5 and do the update!
This worked really fine for me altough the game did bug a bit the forst few mins. Not anymore
