I have been wanting to make another vid for a while...but when I try and capture the video..the quality is..well...you can't really see much of anything..I thought maybe it was my camera or the tape..so I tried a different video..still the same..then I tried it on a friends CPU...it looks good. I'm very confused as to why the quality would be bad on my CPU. I haven't released a new vid in a while. Please help me.

Can you give us more details...?

How are you trying to capture the signal? What compression format are you using? What bitrate are you capping at?

You cap to analogue tape then?

What software do you use to edit the video (I'm assuming some kind of Microsoft app since you're using wmv compression)?

Have you tried using a different program to capture the film to your hard drive? Something like VirtualDub?

It really shouldn't be the system that's spoiling the quality, it should be the software, possibly one of the settings that's been changed.

Did you give virtualdub a go?
