Testing continues in Bahrain today and tomorrow. Surprise, McLaren managed to do 2 laps in the first 5 hours. Except for engine failure on the toro Rosso (back on track after 2h break), the cars are running good so far. Mercedes trying to understand the rear tire problems with some runs on supersofts

Hamilton did experience a breakdown in the w08, resulting in a 30 minute delay. No apparent reason for the breakdown as of yet.

Honda is trying out a bunch of new things today, so I guess a handful of installation laps is what we'll get today.

Oh right, forgot about the Mercedes. Auto Motor Sport reported a loose connection, nothing serious.
BTW: Ferrari is testing with two cars: giovinazzi for Ferrari and Vettel for Pirelli, testing unmarked tires for 2018.
Both Ferrari were leading with about 50 laps over midday. There is no break today, teams can do it whenever they want.

Moved to separate thread.

Thanks. Thought it might not be worth an own thread. Maybe we could use this one for all in-season tests?

Edit: Toro Rosso broke down again and Ferrari is changing Vettel's engine

Looks like Honda has gotten to grips with yesterdays troubles - over 50 laps so far for Stoff. I'm guessing they're focusing on testing some new ERS-components, considering yesterdays troubles stemmed from water leaks in said ERS-system.

"We don't know why the car is running so good today" says Eric Boullier. Vandoorne already done 70 laps without an issue today, only 0.4s behind Fernandos Q1 time. This morning, he said they are running the same Spec as yesterday.

Meanwhile, Bottas doing 130+ laps.

Well, they didn't really get any real running time yesterday because of the leak in the ERS-system. Hopefully this means Honda has brought some updates that results in real improvement and further progress.
