Ban the BMX bike from records or Allow it?

Ban Reason: It's a glitch, it's not fair to have a record from a glitch.

Allow Reason: Well if you do get that amazingly high record, in some cases how are you supposed to top that record? Remember records that don't top the glitch don't stay there if the glitch is higher then the legit record.

Better said: If you forget your legit record you cannot find it because of the glitch being higher.
 
i dont think R* wanted the player to be able to do an intermittable wheelie or stoppie whenever they wanted and make a crapload of cash... ban it. 👎
 
I'd have to say ban it because I have said that I don't like glitches in record books. I only said the record because I didn't believe it to be a glitch before EH explained. Void my entry for the Record Book, Jimmy.
 
I'll wait. I'll end this poll myself when I think enough people do/don't want it. I'm not voting, as I am undecided (which is why this Poll is here), but I can still view the results.

I don't mind myself. It's all about Member-preference for me. Also, I expect some input from Spuds, who has done a great job with the Vice City Record Book, and seeing that he would know alot of what to do with this type of thing, I'll also wait for his opinion. ;)

Of course you need to include the Superjump if there is one!;) Just I prefer making it seperate from the Record Book. There is some sort of superjump on GameFAQs. I could copy paste it here but it's probably not what Spuds was looking for.
 
We already are aware of that, it's in Blake's Thread he made about it. We're not including it until some people on these Forums make it clear that it can be done.
 
I think the BMX should be allowed, not because I use it for that but because it's part of the game and everyone has to deal with that. It's more like an endurance record like the time on treadmill etc. I say keep it.
 
Did you vote on the poll? Because there aren't any for allowing it.
 
But soon everyone is going to use the BMX and we're going to have 20,000ft wheelie distances! Do you want that?
 
But it's part of the game, how can you prove you're not using a BMX unless you take a picture straight away anyway. And in answer to your question, I voted yes, I think my opinion was obvious.
 
I said that too that R* had put that in the game, but I started to think of the ridiculous records flooding the Wheelie Distance Record. I changed my mind to banning it.
 
A simple compromise is to add a seperate category and require a game screenie (instead of a stat page screenshot) for non bmx records (list this in the recordbook)--- if its unbelievable.

For those that try for a non bmx record--I urge you to video tape your game so you can for sure get the screenshot.

For now, how about just listing the vehicles used for the wheelie records (after the names) and see how they shake out. I find wheelies on motorcycles alot easier then in VC so I wouldn't be surprised to see some big ones eventually.

I'm voting to allow it with my above restrictions.

I was never a big wheelie/stoppie person so maybe see how people from the VC book vote.

If you get 40,000, someone can beat it, so, why not keep it, it's still a record, glitch or no glitch. In the record book just write

Well , I don't see anything usefull to baning the BMX so we could use sUn's idea.
 
Well I didn't want to ban it first of all, and I wasn't going to. My plan was to either add a separate category or leave it. I was also thinking of making people say what Vehicle they used. I think I will do that, too. Thanks for the tip Spuds.

Thanks for everyone on their inputs. The BMX is not really a glitch, as it's just an easy bike to keep them going. I know it's not really meant to be, but that's how it is.
