There are probably hundreds of threads like this, but, what car do you think represents the most performance for the least money? Try to keep it below 35,000.

My votes goto:
-MR2 GTS
-MR-S

I might seem biased on the Mid-engine cars here, but hey, the MR2 GTS runs a 14.5 on the 400 meter and a 26.4 on the 1000 meter STOCK. It also handles like its on rail. My only complaint is the low top-speed.

The MR-S handles even better, but doesn't have the same kind of speed as an MR2 GTS. This car is a blast to drive around Deep Forest.

Holy ****, J-Lo is hot!

Below 35k? I guess I'd have to say the Miata for under 20k...best bang for the buck, not sure about under 35k though.

for under 20,000 i would take the MR-S over a miata with difference in price as mods to the miata...

for under 35k
mr2 gts or mr2 g limited ( room for about 10k in mods so nothing too fancy)
WRX STi version VI (5k in mods) or TME EVO VI ( 3k in mods) (so even less mods)
rx-7 FC ( 3k mods)

The STi and Evo give a great drive for the money and with the correctly chosen first few mods... suspension being a priority... can give a great ride and outclassing racing performance... plus they are useful to have...

fc is jsut great fun and can win through prof with a lot of tuning tho.... but right out of the dealer its fun and fast in the right class...

Oh, I was just talking about stock versions...

ahhh ok well take away the mods and use them as price differences lol
out of all of hte ones i put up i would love the rx-7 and the mr2 (either one) the most
without mods the 4wd cars just wouldnt be as fun

I took the entire list and sorted by the Base HP to Price ratio. Here are the top 10 in order:
Lancer Evolution VII RS
Camaro Z28
Lancer Evolution VI RS
Mustang SVT Cobra R
Camaro SS
Lancer Evolution VII GSR
Legacy B4 RSK
Impreza Sports Wagon WRX STi
Coupe Turbo Plus
Silvia K's 2000cc

Hah, the best bang for your buck is easily the Alto Works, 4WD for like 12k? THAT's an investment on your future friends.

Yes, and with 63 bhp stock, is is guaranteed to win the whole beginner series!

hmm... hard to say...
i'll go the fiat :p

what rx7 canyou get for that? the fc?
i prefer the rs for a little more

no more fiat ving... yeah the fc.... but the fc is not bad for under 35k... for a bit over you got a whole new set of cars.... including supras... 300z... and so many more.... i would choose the fd too tho...

I prefer the RZ over both of the previous gen ones...:D

Only about 42k...with improved handling and speed, it's still a good choice.

Yeh...the Escudo is extremely slow through the starting blocks...:\ But then it gets serious speed after a while.

how did a thread on bang for buck get on the escudo...

how about we broaden the post to cars under 60,000... this allows for some broadness... and include car potential as part of your rating... not just its stock abilities...

i think i would have to go with the speedster just cuase its fun to drive...

^ I agree all the way...the Vette Z06 won me the Super Speedway easily...:D
