Banned member question.

So, I read in the 'Banned User Log' that a member got a temporary ban, because he glitched his 'User Title' to say 'Banned'.

All I'm wondering is, why he got a ban for that, as opposed to the usual 'slap on the wrist' PM, or minor infraction.

I can understand why it's not a clever thing to do, and I'm not making a fuss. I'm just feeding my curiosity.

I would imagine if a user wants the forums to be perceived said user is posting under a banned user title, then why bother letting the perception continue?

The mods on here are really good at giving you what you want if your wish is to be banned from this site .
