Banned Users

As i was reading through the banned user log I noticed that for a number of users there are comments along the lines of "banned at own request". Is this some sort of inside joke that really means something else or so some people actually ask to be banned - I just can't imagine it. :boggled:
 
Some people really do ask to be banned; they can't quit GTP cold turkey.

With that said, I'm going to go hold up a liquor store to pay for GTP Premium. Money's tight this time of year.
 
Yes, they asked to be banned, maybe because this place chews up large amounts of time in a consistent members life. They need to move on and do something else and don't have time for GTP anymore. Hope that helps :)

Yes, some folk do ask to be banned so they can concentrate on other things.

On the other hand, some folk tell us, "go on, ban me. I don't care"... So we're happy to oblige.
 
Yeah, I remember Jack (911_Carrera) asking to be banned for 2 weeks as he had exams coming up. What I don't get is Electric....., he has asked to be banned permanently! Why?
 
I was about to ask to be temperarely banned last week because i had exams on wednesday and thursday. I was suprised i was actually pretty good with not fooling around. It does become very tempting having the computer on right in front of you when your studying though.

now only if I could temperarely ban myself from ps2, myspace, yahoo, and youtube id be doing fine, lol.
