Basic Tuning Advice

Alright, first off I would like to go ahead and thank all of you who do lend your tuning adice to the new guy. Lol. Thank you very much. So with that said I would like to see if anyone could go over the basics of track tuning with me. Advice and knowledge are all I seek guys. I do not want your hard worked tunes just the knowledge to do ot myself. If you would be willing to help I would be much appreciative.
