Basic Tuning

Is there a basic tune that would work as a base for a more polished tune later. Or is the car automatically tuned a little for each track. Im just looking for a basic tune that would work to get me started. A lot of other racing games r like this where i can change a few things on similar tracks and its gonna go faster than what was given to me. Thanks in advance for any help
 
I'm sorry, but it'd be hard for people to help you with a "basic tune" if you don't have a car with which to apply it to. While there are some rules of thumb you can apply, there is no "universal tune" that can be applied to all cars.
 
So many factors, do you want more HP or less weight? Power to weight ratio..cornering abilities...

Basic tuning...can apply to just buying 'basic' upgrades...so what is your meaning of 'basic' tuning?
 
I am pretty new to tuning as this is the first game I;ve really tried it with. What has helped me the most, is of course reading this forum, but also reading the question marks in the game. They're pretty informative without getting techy and helped me understand a lot.

At first just stick to changing the downforce and slowly work your way into more complicated tunes. And only change a little at a time. If you change a lot at once, and the car is really squirrely then you won't know what change is effecting it the most.
