what program are you guys using to view these vids? my windows media player won't play it (codec issues), and my divx player won't play it either... =/
 
I'm using my Windows media player and it works but for any videos that don't vlc never fails.
 
Just need to put this thread back up where people will notice it - I've recently downloaded the '92 race, and its an absolutely defining moment in Australian motorsport...

I loved it when the crowd kept calling out "Bull**** Bull**** Bull**** etc etc" when Skaife's 4WD Skyline won by default because of the red flag, even though it crashed! They then called the crowd "Arseholes!" on the victory podium!

Oh, it was colourful times for sure... Even some pretty dodgy puns made by the commentators in the intro... Brocky didn't make it off the line, very funny... ah good memories!

Really, everybody should download and watch these races, it'll make you REALLY want Bathurst, Mount Panarama in GT5...

To me these were the last 2 years that Australian motorsport was interesting and really unpredictable! These are truly MUST WATCH videos. Motor racing at its most drama-packed white-knuckled best. When men were men and cars were simple. 👍


EDIT: The link still works fine for the '92 race (the one to watch IMO - last year of the skylines), couldn't get the '91 vid to work.

Oh I agree 100% 1992 was the last year Australian Touring cars were real interesting for me, Holden vs Ford is just a bore. I have had a few small debates about this in a different thread with other GTPers and it seems you are the first one that feels like I do. 👍

Oh and the sound of the Brocks 1991 Commodore is awesome, it sounds better than the V8 supercars IMHO. Just watch Brocks 1991 Bathurst qualifing lap, now thats entertainment!

with the original '91 link, i downloaded it, but then when i went to watch it, it would play only 5 minutes and then would restart the computer. did anyone else have that problem?
 
Thats odd, I haven't have any problems with either videos.
 
i use k-lite codec full pack and use the included windows media player classic.

Plays every media under the sun.
