This is a japanese movie that came out in 2001. I have just recently watched it, and I must say it's way better than our American bullcrap that is out there. 42 middle school students are sent to a remote island (as a part of a government survival program) with explosive neck collars, are given random weapons, and are forced to kill each other all within a three day time limit. If more than one person survives at the end of three days, all the collars explode.

If that's not cool, then I don't exist.
 
though it was horribly disturbing, I kinda liked what little plot there was holding that movie together. Unfortunately, the 2nd was an utter piece of crap in comparison to this.
 
the second one really sucked...they turned it into a shoot em' up war film that focused on violence, not character development. Still, at least it ended happily. The BR novel kicked major ass though.

No even though it was on TV the other night, but the idea of making school kids kill eachother is sick and in no way at all cool.
 
Lol, I don't and I wouldn't unless teachers were allowed to discipline the kids agian.
 
Is that the film with some guys head crashing through a window with a primed grenade in his mouth?

I was flicking through the channels, saw it and thought.. 'ooook..' and then went to bed. :lol:

Yeah, some guy's head did have a grenade in his mouth. What channel did you guys see this on. Lighthouse scene was the greatest.
 
yes, mentor. i will agree that Kiriyama kicked major ass in that movie. can't wait to see the Argentine version thats supposed to premiere next year.
 
Don't start this multiple users with almost the same name **** again, it's been done and they all got banned.
 
Actually I have no idea who he is, honestly. Argentinian version? Do they have differnet actors or revamped scenes, or what?

You crazy man? Your forgetting the scene the BR video at the start of the film, with that realy happy woman...lol. Best fight scene was on the beach at the start of BR2, not as good as the first film, but again it was unique and had alot of good ideas. I Still get confused with that last scene though, I thought everyone died..apparently not. I swear the movie doesnt show these peole escaping..
 
I like how we get to peer into all the characters lives and learn so much about them. all in just one or two scenes. the variety and detail of persons are great!...then they all die, violently. XD
