I mainly play PS3 based games only, but I did get a Closed Beta invite from EA to Battlefield Play4Free. I downloaded the game last night and created my first soldier (Assault) but have yet to try it online. The screenshots resemble Battlefield Bad Company 2 but for the PC. Anybody else get an invite or participating in the Closed Beta?

System similar to Heroes? I stopped playing this because it takes way too long to kill someone.

I believe it to be a spinoff from Battlefield Heroes. I have not played Heroes but I think it is a bit cartoonish? If the Beta is anything like BBC2 gameplay I think this will be something I would buy on PC.
 
Do you play it through your internet browser?
Heroes is cartoony, but you start it with your browser and don't have to download a whole game, is it the same here?

I have been letting my son play on my file, I will have to find out for sure but I don't think you have to play in the browser. I will find out for sure right after the holidays. I will be in an area with no Internet connections.
 
Ive played it a bit, it feels like a low budget remake of Battlefield 2 with some added Bad Company 2 weapons and mechanics. Its pretty fun, but I have plenty of games that I payed for that I'll probably play instead.
 
Sorry guys have been too busy with both GT5 and BBC2 to play on the PC and try this out but on Facebook this morning EA posted this! There are 5000 Beta keys in this one key so If you want it to try it then I would hurry!

Got my code today, couldn't play so far though, tried to join three times but always loose the connection to the server.
 
Just started playing this and it seems alright (even though I'm awful with wasd). Mainly problem is I can't change class or gun so am stuck with a LMG.
