I feel your pain! We had that same printer! Now it sits in the Attic (even though I would to have it for myself) rotting away. We have a sleek new Designjet 800 now. Sounds like a vacum when it fires up. A bit quieter, but same hum to it.

I do indeed use a thumb track. Been using it now for 4 years. No real advantage, I was just tired of scolling a mouse around then having to move the mouse when I hit the edge of the mouse pad.

Ahhh...Vacation. I'm hoping to get another week in October. Head south where it's warm and sunny.
