Any advices/tips getting gold on this Special challenge? I'm using a DFGT and started learning yo drive on Manual. All assists off except ABS 1.

It's very fun to drive the course and using low gear to drive up the lil hills fast, but I can't seem to get gold on this challenge after 20+ tries.

My best lap was 2:25:650. Please help and thanks! :)

All my time for this challenge is just in the silve range. I think Im just crap at this racing thing......

I know right. Even though it's my first day using Manual for this game, it seems impossible to get gold w/ the DFGT and all assists off except ABS 1...

you'd have to drift like no other and break your tranmission 4 times before you finish 1 lap of this challenge... :nervous:

My guess is that you are not carrying enough speed through the turns. Take a look at the example and add around 5 Km to the speed the ai uses.

I have the first three gold but can only get silver for the last two :(

It worked for me. Made me around 1.5 seconds faster.

Cool. I only need to go a second faster for the fourth one :D
The last one I just need more practice ;)

Ive managed to gold those.
The car is really fun to drive, you just need to brake as little as possible to get gold.

Watching the example video really helps. keep an eye on when and how much the comp brakes. you should be able to get gold just by trying to mimic

Tried ABS 10 and gained around 1 second and got 2:24:089.

It is indeed fun to drive and a great car to learn driving with manual. :)

The key to faster times is maximizing exit speed on turns that go into straights. Those are the turns that you need to take as fast as possible. Focusing on exit speed on the final turn into the back straight could gain an easy second. Theres a bunch of places where when you exit the turn you can stay on the gas for a long time. Find them and stay on the gas.

Yup, i think my setting is the same as what you mentioned. but I remember thinking to myself after trying hard to get my time into silver range, "how the hell am i gonna shave another X seconds off my time." but gota admit tho. very useful tutorial for green hell. My laps there got a whole lot better after learning the track sector by sector.

The funny thing with the AMG challenges is that the advanced and expert ones are laughably easy compared to beginner and intermediate.

I'm literally doing them backwards.
