Beginner hall, S&R, buggy rules ?

In the beginner hall, Spider & Roasdster cup how come some AI driver is racing in a ... Toyota MR2-GTS ? I tried to enter that cup with my MR2 and MR2-GTS and it was refused ( because obviously The MR2 and MR2-GTS have hard top, the same way I was denied acces with my Spoon S2000 ).
Any valid explaination ?

There isn't one, you can't enter a Cadillac Cien in the supercars event but you'll sometimes race against one in it.

The MR2-GTS has a removable T-top... most of the tuner S2K's have Carbon fiber hardtops that I guess are not considered removable.

Yeah I tried to use removable top cars like that too and they didn't work.... So I lightly turboed a MR2 Spyder (6-speed sequential manual dontcha know) and went to town.

Works well for the mid engined races too.

I noticed that there is a 91 toyota gt-four occasionally in the japanese 80's cup. Gave me a few laughs but my rx-7 tore him apart.

that is just in the game sometimes you wont be able to join with your car but then you see one in the race

Thanks for the opinions and suggestions.
I just did it with a Honda S2000. No problem at all.
I like the MR2 and MR2 GTs but find their spider brother ugly.
TVR or Viper: too easy. I purchased a Viper but keep it for the American hall.

I had this problem in the swarzald liga A, With the BMW M COUPE (white color). I couldn't enter with that while he was in every race...
But I beat the hell out of him with my VW Golf V GTI :-D

Unmodified seems to mean that it was bought/given to you unmodified, i.e. not a rally or race car
