Hi guys,

I am totally new with racing wheels playseats pedals gearshifts etc.

It all started a couple of days ago while a friend of mine showed what he has bought from a friend for cheap. And from then i am hooked. So i want a set for my own. So i can play at home whenever I want.

But the thing is I know that there a couple of cheap wheels and seats. And a couple of very expensive seats. What can i buy best?

I have: A gaming pc, xbox 360, xbox one, ps3, ps4. From what i have understood there i no wheel to rule them all(joke)

So i thought lets do a ps4/pc wheel. I found the thrustmaster rs300 and the 300 GTE Ferrari
On the forum i saw that many off you are very happy with it . But is it a good buy? Or can i do better?

I thank you in advance!

just to add 5cents, i am newbie too, everyone was wonderful to help and share their know-how, but All i can say is, going with T300RS and adding shifter and pedals will be great starter setup and you will be all set. (TH8A shifter and T3PA-Pro pedals, would be addons)
seat/ rig, there are some DIY plans out there, i think most important is that it fits in the space you need it to fit, and also NO Flexing!!! meaning when you use FFB steering forces and hit brake, clutch, or gas your cockpit/ rig doesn't start to move, flex or worse flex around and making all other parts/ controllers on your rig move around.
i can say from now 2-3 months research, Sim-Seats, RSeat RS1, VRC1000 and GT Chassis Humanracing are the ones from most reads and feedback with least and almost no movement/ flexing.
more later...

Budget, budget, budget. What is it? If it's high enough, a Fanatec V2 would have to be a strong contender.

On cockpits, from what I can tell you have to be spending quite a bit to get something truly sturdy. I'd go DIY and put money in to better wheel, pedals, etc., if you can't go high end on everything.

Thanks for the quick reply's! I really apriciate it.

I was thinking about a playseat evolution and the thrusmaster rs300 standard ( without the pedals and shifter).
The reason why is that i first want to see how it is on the longterm and than maybe to update the gear with pedals en shifter

i started with a playseat but hated the center pole. so i built my own. you can build one fairly easy. just buy a race or car seat. before and now build. built out of 2in angle iron and 3/4 plywood, i used bolts to put it together. welded wood be even better

Once you grow a little in this hobby you will understand peoples passion and how they could spend insane money on a wheel like an Accuforce or Clubsport V2 that essentually does the same thing as a budget wheel like a G27. The difference is how the wheels produce the torque that you feel as force feedback. The sensitivity and power is extremely different as you go up the line in product range. When you first go from controller to Forcefeedback wheel and get "the bug", it never stops there :D
