being away from GT5 sucks

i had to return home for easter holidays,its been 9 days without gt5,except playing at my friend's a couple of races(he sucks though,its no fun)

cant take this:nervous::nervous::nervous:
miss drifting,online races,etc

what's the longest you 've endured without your favourite driving sim?
 
I dunno, I can go for weeks without playing it. I got Shift 2 and played that so didnt play GT5, and then I uninstalled Shift 2, had a quick 5min bash at GT5 and then re-signed up to iRacing and have not touched GT5 since then.

GT5 never was an everyday thing for me, I like to play it maybe once every 1-2 weeks. It is my favourite racing game/sim though, but currently I am really enjoying the more realistic iRacing, enough to keep my PS3 turned off for a bit.

It will be seven months this year...

Working as a pilot in the middle of Alaska for the summer. No GT5 but I get to fly helicopters instead :)

It will only make the return to GT5 better the longer you are away from it.
 
I had house renovation for 2 months... couldn't use my PS3 because the house was very messy. But now my house is done and I'm happy to be able to play GT5 again! :)
 
Well, it would have to be the big gap between GT4 and GT5, the most horrible 4 years of my life....
 
Well currently, I've already set a record for myself. I'm currently on holiday and won't be getting back till Monday. And I left last Monday. Still having a good time even without it, as much as I love it I can still find alternative ways to have a good time.

Did you mean suicide? That stinks, my PS3 died but I bought a new one almost immediately. We use ours for way more than just games to without it anymore.
 
You should have tried to reflow it, if mine went I couldn't justify the expense of getting a new one. I've got a new HDD but the screws on the cage are so tight I've nearly rounded one.

You might have an addiction. Being away from it for just that long and you still got to play gt5 even for just a couple races makes you this insane already, you might need to really take a break from it. Video game addiction is very serious.
 
At least when you stay away you might come back to some generous Remote Racing rewards from the Bank of Bob.
 
Jus spend 4 days at a trade conference. To my relief there was a booth on the trade show with GT5 on it. Only played ten minutes but was enough to get my fix... :-)

Lol. Probably 16 hours (sleep and work interrupt gaming for me). I've gone longer than that, but 16 is probably the longest I've gone if I actually had access/time for GT5, while also wanting to get my racing fix.

The force feedback isnt good enough to miss me being away from it. If gt5 had good force feedback id probably want to play it a few times every week. At the moment I feel I can go a years without playing it and I wont feel too bad.

It has been about 2-3 months since I last raced properly. The only thing I do is buy cars in the meantime and grind. I consider this being away from gt5.

This is the product of poor planning! How dare you sir not clear out a spot in a vacant corner of even at least the coldest darkest part of your basement which by you could construct a makeshift dwelling for Gran Turismo!

I can't go without GT for any longer than 8 hours at a time. I will run several extention cords for how ever long I need to from somewhere inside my house to my PS3, my TV, and my surround sound system in the middle of my front yard if I have too.

GRAN TURISMO IS MY MASTER. :guilty:

you might be right, but this game is too awesome to get addicted to!
 
Since partway through January (and I had just bought a 370Z and I was gonna do the Grand Valley 300K). But, sometime this week I'll be getting a new HDD in the mail.
 
I'm gonna have to serve my country for two and a half months soon :(
Hopefully my mad driving skills won't go to shist when I return :)
