Went to see this last night. It's good actually. A good story of a Sikh girl who wants to play football rather than follow her parents' wishes or her peer's behaviours. She befriends an English girl and starts playing for a Ladies' team in London.
If you see the trailers, the movie appears to be a comedy, but it's not really, the subject matter (of cultural differences and racial prejudices, both white v black and black v white) is very serious. It's not tragic, like East is East was, but all the same, it's no laugh fest. There are, however, quite a lot of funny parts in it.
The ending's a bit Hollywood, opting for the feelgood factor, but it's a good film, and well worth watching.
7/10
