Power comes from the familiar 6.0-liter turbocharged W12 found in cars like the Bentayga and Flying Spur. In this configuration, the engine pushes out 626 horsepower and 664 lb.-ft. of torque to an active all-wheel drive setup with launch control (in a Bentley!). 0-60 happens in 3.7 seconds, and top speed is a supercar-beating 207 mph. Under lighter loads, the engine will shut half of its cylinders off for better fuel consumption, and features start/stop technology. The suspension is a 48-volt adaptive air system that controls ride comfort and lateral roll to help balance through corners.

I got excited seeing this thread revived, thinking it was actually about the title, and therefore the baby Bentley.

I am disappoint.

Well the new car is based on the EXP 10 Speed 6 Concept, but I guess they're no longer making a baby Bentley.

In recent years I thought Bentley's styling was horrid particularly the cross-eyed Mulsanne and ugly Bentayga but this looks great because the design language suits this style of car. The concept was stunning and the production model has retained most of it. Sadly it will become premiership footballer transport just like the original did.

Get un-disappointed. According wikipedia, the production of this so called baby Bentley will start in 2018.

wikipedia
The Bentley EXP 10 Speed Six has been approved for production and will be available in coupe and convertible variants, along with a choice of all-electric, V6-plug in hybrid, V8 and possibly W12 powertrain options available.

autoexpress
“Customer response to EXP 10 Speed 6 was phenomenal, so we want to build on this and make it a reality,” Dürheimer told Auto Express in 2015.

Bentley Barnato.

I'm glad that VW decided to move from the Audi platform to a new one shares with Paramera for the new gen. The improved dash to axle ratio really makes better proportion, and superior weight distribution too.

What's stupid about naming it after Woolf Barnato?

Im saying it sounds silly, not is silly.

It's never a good idea to have the first letter of the first and second name the same, then it sounds cartoony. I don't see what was so wrong with the large number of historic model names they had to choose from.

Such as? Blower would need to be supercharged to fit the historical connotation. Brooklands was last used on a car much bigger than the Conti. Mulsanne is in use and traditionally a saloon car.

Should have called it the Speed 6, TVR's has been long dead enough for people forget! Or just call it the Continental.

That interior looks impeccable.

But I can't help but think that the front looks like it's had its eyebrows shaved off.
