I'm on a 300hp online competition and i'm trying to find out which ingame car is the best in those conditions. ¿Could you help me? No racing cars, only cars allowed to drive in streets. As far as i've gone, the Honda NSX seems to be the best one, but I haven't explored all the possibilities.

EDIT. Minimum weight 1000kg

I'm running a 300bhp championship and for that I'm using a BMw 120d

It's quirky and quick but not the fastest. The Mazda RX8 seems to ver a very good contender.

For the seasonal event I used the Toyota FT86 Concept car, it's too light to fit into my championship rules but it's a lot of fun to drive so was perfect for that challenge.

Lotus Elise 111, nothing touches it?! yeah right!

a fully-tuned Suzuki GSX-R/4 will wipe the Elise's butt clean... twice

fully tuned, it has something like 285bhp/500kg, and therefore the car absolutely flies. it can keep up with 600bhp cars no problem... and it anhilates any car such as a JGTC of any kind, Amuse S2000 GT1. that car packs a serious punch

incredible grip and handling and amazing out-of-the-corner acceleration...

the one downside, however, is the fact that i's rather hard to find

if you manage to find it, however, you will NOT be disappointed!!!

GSX-R/4 FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

The Caterham is awesome. But if there is a weight limit the lotus evora is great.

They just told me there's a 1000kg minimum weight restriction, so the Elise 111R RM and the Catterham got blown up. I thought about using the GSX, but I can't find it anywhere. Right now I'm testing the FT86 Sport version and the Evora, both seem pretty fast. ¿Any other suggestions or anyone with a GSX?

You need to pick 5-6 promising cars, famines datasheet over GT5 cars is invaluable in that regard. Pick -3 different tracks, ex. Deep Forest, Eiger, as testinggrounds, and test, test, test.

Tune the best cars to fit the races specs, and you have a good start. But most importantly, practice the tracks you have to race. A good driver can beat an average driver by 3-4 seconds pr. lap on most tracks.

I already knew that, I'm asking for help to choose those 5-6 promising cars >.<

Nope, GSX will be outta bound if there's weight limit of 1000kg.
& Cusco Dunlop is a GT300 car. Not a road car.
I like 22B in this range. And yes NSX-R Concept (which is super hard to find in the UCD), turbocharged Amuse S2000 R1/Street Version are all good choices.
FT-86 seems to have a lot of potential, but never actualised under my control.
I've got a collection of Lan Evos (1 2 3 5 6 7), but only for showcase's sake so cannot comment.
As for non-Japanese cars, 190E Evo is a must in that range, and I personally prefer the heavier VX220 Turbo/Speedster Turbo to Elise, and hence you can pass the min. weight limit.

Sorry mate got both and spent hours round nurburgring and the elise is 4 secs quicker a lap, its close.

i'm not sure what the best 300bhp/1000kg car in the game is as i haven't driven them all, but i just picked up a Toyota MR2 1600 G-Limited Supercharger '86 and i like it (thanks to big_davey_b for the trade).

i gave it weight reduction stage 1 to bring down to 1005kg, and i think that with all the BHP tuning i got it up to about 260 but i haven't given it the stage 3 engine tune yet so it will go up more i'm sure. also, i have not added a rear wing as i want to keep the look of the car as it is in its original state.
it handles greats as is an MR with a (not too) happy rear end. my best time around the top gear track so far is 1:15.xxx but i think with more tuning and level 3 engine tune-up i could get down to about 1:13.xxx, maybe quicker.

this would be my tip.

i agree - i was shocked to see my gsx shed three seconds of my best lotus top gear track time in just two laps... i got a mid 1:05 but i know it can go faster.

also, i think it's a b-spec prize in the Formula GT series but i picked mine up at the UCD for a little under 240K.

Nissan Silvia S15 when RM'd hits exactly 1000kg. With a power upgrade or two it hits dead on 300 bhp. Effectively, it's a GT300 racer. The aceleration isn't as good as the average GT300's, but against AI you can brake a lot later and get ahead of them through the corners.

HOw you detune a 500 HP to a 300 HP car ? And also he said in his first post that he can't use race car I think ? Yeah read the OP at least lol :

The NSX-R is probably your best bet, or possibly a RX7 Spirit or Bathhurst.

Although you can't use it, the Acura NSX RM 91 is the best car in that weight and Hp range I've driven so far.

I stand corrected. I thought you could de-tune a '00 model Tom's Supra. My bad. I missed the Non Race car part. Forgive me for I am N00bish and not no what i doith.

people rave about the lotus rm but i think it fails in terms of handling

on race soft tires with tc 1 on its a beast as soon as you put tc on 0 it just goes spinny spin spin

so therefor i cant reccomend it.

the ft86 is probably not a bad choice. Many of the s2000s are nice too, some of the RUFs could be a good choice if you can get the hang of that slippy back end due to rear mounted engine

i think that a tt quattro would tune nicely to somewhere in this range too?
