Race to win. Get to victory lane or the top step of the podium. What you may end up winning is a beautiful trophy or some sort of unique prize. From my progress in "Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2" and from watching the race ceremonies after the F1 Hungarian Grand Prix, it inspired me to make this discussion of some of the best and worst prizes up for grabs. This ranges from first-place trophies and medals all the way up to championship trophies. I have none to share at present, but you're willing to kick things off about some of racing's most beautiful trophies and prizes... then some of the ugliest trophies and prizes.

To start this thread off, the winner of the oval races at Nashville usually gets you a prize in the form of a wicked cool guitar. Also think about the Borg-Warner trophy handed out to the Indy 500 winner. These could be great bases to start off with. So what are some of the best and worst prizes, medals, trophies, and such in racing?

You know,I don't really know of any ugly ones.But some of the cool ones are;
A Grandfather clock at Richmond(?)The Brick yard 500.A Rolex at the 24 hrs of Daytona,and the LeMans 24hr.There is a ton more out there,but I will leave that up for someone eles to add.
Now the down side of getting alot of trophies is the up keep.From finding a place for them to keeping them clean,this is a pain.Between my dad and my self,we have around 400 trophies.He raced in the 60's 70's and 80's and I raced frome the 80's to present.Most are in storage.Some of the bigger ones we have donated to other racing clubs so that they can be used agian.This helps to keep the cost down at the smaller clubs.

Ugliest? Has to go to the original Bahrain trophy, looked like a trash bin.
