Hi guys, Just finished the Tsukuba 4 Hour Race and I destroyed the pack.

So this time I would like to do a challenging race this time. I would like to be 2nd place before the 1st set of pit stops, Wheel to Wheel Racing, something like that.

What car can it be? Please share :)

I usually start the race in a car that I think will be an equal to the AI and if it is not, i'll go back out and either choose a different car or tinker it a bit. Keep doing this untill you set similar lap times to the fastest AI car.

On a side note, i'm about to start the tsukuba 4 hours, how boring did it get?

Try a stock Mustang GT. With the right tyres it should be slow enough to allow you to have close racing with the AI.

After an hour and a half I was 6 laps ahead. In my miata. The AI aren't challenging enough. After about ten minutes. You'll be bored out of your mind

That's good advice. I always do a few laps to get a feel for how well a car will do. Also the car you should drive to achieve your goal depends partly on your skill so the car someone else uses may not work for you.

Tsukuba was very, very boring. Laguna Seca was fun. That may just be me though.

It was boring after 30 minutes. I have lapped them by 2-3 laps. So when I got bored, I started fooling around. I was pushing my opponents inside the pit lane:tup:

hehe

I used an EVO X with Sports Soft tyres (oddly enough, best tyres for endurance), a semi-racing exhaust, and the aero kit with carbon hood (mostly for looks). Won the race by about 1 or 2 laps, but it was close and fun competition with the 2nd and 3rd place, a C5 Z06 and a GTS Viper. The EVO is a forgiving car when you get distracted, it's easy on the fuel (maybe not so easy on it's front tyres), and destroys the AI on the curves (but get's owned in straights). Something around this HP/KG should do a good job 👍.

I used a stock Z06 Corvette, won by almost 1 lap, it would a been more had I not spun out a few of times.

I've completed the race twice, first one was using a Z06 vette which made the experience boring. On the second one I've used a slightly tuned Mustang GT which made for a close and enjoyable experience throughout the whole event.

I like and used the Viper. Low to the ground, short turning radius, will slip and slide into the turns. Perfect car for those 90 deg turns and slopes.

Hey Guys! I just finished the race. I won it with the Corvette a lap down.

I used the Gran Turismo 350z (stock). I only did 2 stops with Racing Hard tires. Very Fun Race!

Take a car you love driving & tune the engine power down until you're close to the AI. You'll need to do a few laps to get your setting, but then it'll be fun...

Just noticed your post above. lol Oh well, for future reference then...

1965 Alfa, just tried it on this track, with the stage 3 turbo it's too easy ( 20 odd second lead on fifth lap ) so trying it standard might be more interesting?

Ive been attacking it with a stock Maserati GranTurismo, because i adore it. It has a racing air filter, and sports medium tyres. No aero. With my "Amazing" driving skills, i managed to spin the first corner a LOT, and catch the lead dodge srt4 (I kid you not) at about .5 of a second in a VERY good lap... But it was so much fun.
