Guys, enlighten me... Everyone is talking about drifting and now I'm watching some initial D, I have to drift too!:D

So where do I start and with what car? Which car did you find the most "driftable". Also can you hook me up with the settings?

Muchos thanks.

In my opinion the Nissan 240sx Type X is the best drift car. I've tried all different kinds of cars for drifting and I still came back to this one. It's also my favorite car in the game. The FC is ok, but just not as good as the 240sx IMHO. I'm sure most of you will disagree but I found my drift style is far different from any of yours and my cars are tuned differently. I don't rely on tons of tuning, special tire combos, and tons of horsepower. I have relatively low hp (270-300hp), and mild tuning.

Low horsepower Supras and FD's are also ok drift cars. But drifting is all about technique. Just try all different kinds of cars and find what techniue you're best at, then judge which car is best for you.

yea, i usually drift my cars stock cept for a lil hp upgrade if needed, drivetrain upgrades, and suspension upgrades

I LIKE the 2000cc SILVIA, THE RX-7's, AND THE 240 SX...... BUT I LOYAL TO MY HACHI... its such a light car you can throw it around everywhere.... (HACHI=SPRINTER) I LOVE MY SKYLINES TOO. but 4 wheel drifts are relativly simple, ive been working on my rear wheel cars.

there's many great cars to choose from.its too hard to choose from. it depends on which drivetrain you favor the most. the easiest, for my opinion are the fr cars, and the hardest, for my opinion again, are the ff cars. just experiement with all ur fave cars you like to race already.

I hate to burst your bubble but only FR's can TRUELY drift. FF cars cannot do because the laws of physics don't allow it. AWD cars cannot do it either because they have FWD characteristics.

I'll explain drifting without going into too much detail. Drifting is best defined as driving a car through a series of turns while in a controlled slide. This means shifting the rear wheels from side to side from turn to turn. An FF cannot do that. Example: If a FF slid into a right hand turn, it could not slide into an immediate left hand turn. It would not be able to slide the rear end around because it's Front Wheel Drive.

I'm not trying to dis you or bash you at all. I just wanted to make it clear what drifting really is. Today so few people know what an actual drift is compared to an ass-slide.

true......FF is not a good choice for drifting AT ALL...unless you have waht is called "trays"....poeple put these metal trays under the back wheel and then put's in parking brake and slowy rev's their car until it starts to waht is caled "tray drifting" people use like Civics , Integra , etc...other FF cars....for 4WD....i heard putting the TCS makes "fake" physics of an FR car....havent tryed it though...

OO i have just tryed the TCS for a 4WD....seems to be ture but the TCS to 20%.....for some reason acts like an FR....kinda....you still have to use break and E-brake...so it's not the best

yea, i use my scooby wagon ^_^ and i drift really well wit dat. never need to use e-brake unless it's a REALLY wide turn like the ones in CS

wow ive accoplished alot today..FF and 4WD drifting also i can hold long drift with ym silvia...it's pretty crazy srift the small turn of super speeday....if i can i'll post a little vid of it..

I'm probably the only one that lieks this car but drifting the MR2 GT-S is way fun. Hard to control and get the back end to slide out, but once it does you either got it or you don't. Can do some way cool 360s if you screw up!!! I like a challenge...and I love MR2s maybe that why I own one...and maybe why I have no money for my own PS2 or GT3
