Best car for GTWC in Pro Events?

I recently started playing GT4 again after not playing for over a year. I'm picking up right where I left off: 80% through the game. I need to complete the GT world championship of the professional events. I'm a little rusty having not played in so long, and I wasn't really good to begin with lol. My question is, what is the best car to use for this event? And what are some good settings for the car? Suspension, down force, brakes, turbo vs N/A, tires etc... I tried with the Toyota Minolta and struggled. Help please.
 
The Minolta chews tyres, but will be the fastest.

However, the 787B is slightly slower, but nicer to the tyres, so they stay green longer. :)

I had no problem with the Minlta R2 up front and R1 in the back, and I didn't have to pit most of the tracks
 
Search for GTWC or World championship in the GT4 forum. You'll find loads of threads on what cars & strategy to use.

It's one of the most asked questions here.
