Hey I am wondering what car would be best to get on a 1m budget. I realise that it isn't much considering race cars are 20m but I only have 1m :). Also might be the most common question.. What's the best way to make money offline? And I apologise if this is in the wrong thread.

Do you not have internet? Online is where the credits are.

Offline I would say "like the wind" or "dream car championship"

If you can do seasonals you'd be crazy not to, they give really good money for little effort and all that's required is being signed in to "SEN" (I prefer the old name) to get in, then you can grind even if you get signed out.

Cars for 1,000,000 is a trickier subject, especially without knowing your preferences and requirements, but the premium Super GT500 cars are worth a look as I think they're all 950,000. Look up some car reviews on the Gran Turismo 5 forum for in depth information on other cars and the tuning forum to make them faster.

^ This ^ is a good suggestion.

And if you do have internet, the OCD (Online Dealership) currently has these:

Audi Abr Audi TT-R Touring Car '03 - 1,000,000
Opel Astra Touring Car (Opel Team Phoenix) '00 - 1,000,000
BMW M3 GTR Race Car '01 - 1,000,000

Corvette ZR1 RM is pretty good. Still costs less than a million to buy the ZR1, race modify it, and fully tune it. I just rarely use mine because I am fed up with the understeer and I can't fix it.

thanks heaps mate, I was under the impression I had to have super fast Internet.

Only for racing other people online, seasonal events are just a brief stream of information. Even if you can't race though, the time trials can be fun. If you can stay signed in you can see how well you do overall and watch how the best do it. Also, check out this thread

I haven't tried the ideas myself, but some of them sound enjoyable. Sorry about the information overload, I just remembered loads of stuff that's useful if online play isn't available.

Corvette ZR1 RM Is an awesome Race Car, and will beat any GT500 class car in the game. Z06 RM is tamer and indeed cheaper than a ready-made RC. If you're leveled up enough to buy them of course. The option, OP, if you have access to Seasonals, is to do 4 or 5 license tests (no more than 5, or you'll lose a chance at 5 cars) and go check your UCD for a used Race Car. After you decide or chance into what you need, go grind the 6 A-Spec online challenges at the 650PP level. If your online bonus is at 200%, that's an avaerage of about 900k credits every 5 laps (or 1 at the Nurb). Just remember most things you do turns 6 cars over in the UCD every time you enter an event. Time trials in Seasonals do not turn the UCD over, Multi-Race Championships turn the UCD 1 cycle (6 cars). And the Seasonals level you up super fast;)

For a ZR1 Vette RM: If you buy the car, go to GTAuto and do the RM, then go do what you can in the Tune Shop with a set of Racing Softs the whole thing doesn't get over 750k, the Z06 comes in under 500k;)

And CallMeDan: Don't know what dealer you went to, but he called you something else if you payed over a mil for any Vette RM. If you buy the car, go to GTAuto and do the RM, then go do what you can in the Tune Shop with a set of Racing Softs the whole thing doesn't get over 750k, the Z06 comes in under 500k;)

Read that again. I didn't say I payed over a million credits for a fully tuned ZR1 RM. READ.

You're absolutely right, I misread that, have no idea why, and no excuses. My Apologies:cheers:

Already fixed, if you hadn't quoted the whole thing
