best car to beat group C

I'm having trouble beating the GT all stars and like the wind races because i can't go toe to toe with the Group C/GTP/LMP cars. I don't have the 4 million credits to get ones myself, so whats the best car in the 1 million credit and under price range (not counting mods) to challenge them. I have already tried a maxed 458 italia, maxed SLS amg, maxed R32 Vspec II and a maxed ZZII. I can beat the daytona road course race in like the wind with my veyron, but it stinks at indy for some reason and it's useless on the more technical tracks.
 
The cheapest method is... a Miata.

...to run the B-Spec Miata race and win yourself a Furai :).

Really? Most people have said they did Indy with a Veyron and Daytona Road with the Furai. As SlipZtrEm said, the Furai is a very good car, if you don't already have it you should definitely do the small amount of work required to get it. The same goes for the Zonda R (though I can't think of any races where I needed it) and the Toyota 7, which actually might be a good car to use to do Like The Wind.

Then obviously the 88C-V is all you need for the GT All Stars, it's just sublime.
