The premium r34 skyline nur edition us pre tuned for the ring, and Awd makes it really stable for people just learning.

I really enjoy taking the Alfa TZ2,turning off all the "displays" like the track map and the HUD,driving from the cockpit view and take a few laps on the Nordschliefe using the "time change" track. Puts me in zen state of mind!

There are a couple excellent ideas already given... but you can do it in a few steps.
Do the AMG challenges, then take the WRX out and keep tuning it up, then take a MR/FR car like the Elise (I'd suggest something with more power and weight), and let'er rip. I think the important thing is to take small steps, or you may get discouraged, I did.

I find for the nurburgring the FR layout is the best. Try using the stock m3 or the 330 if other cars are a bit slow. ESP since BMW tests all their cars on the ring.

I think a MX-5 would be too slow. I know it is a bit of a exaggeration but I don't think you'll learn much if you can drive the whole track flat out.

I want to see you doing a lap flat out the whole time.
The stock '07 MX-5 does around 145MpH on Döttinger, that is definetly not slow.

Besides that -> It's the same with losing weight.
If you do it slowly (6 Months), the results will be better than losing 20kg in 1 Month.

It's the same with the Nordschleife. At first you must learn the Racing Line, and that takes some time on a 20.832km long track that is barely 2 lanes thick.
It's easier to learn to drive in a slow car properly at first, that taking your 700hp SLS to the track.

I know a lot of people who did that, and they still don't know how to drive through the turns properly nor to keep the car on track.

Now, I'm not saying, that I'm the godfather of the virtual Nordschleife, but I know how to drive it properly (drove over 15 Rounds on the real Nordschleife) and how fast I can take my car into those corners without having uncontrolable Under or Oversteering.

If you got that down with the "slower" cars like the MX-5 (2007!!!) or Integra Type R or Civic Type R, you can step it up to medium powered cars like the M3 or 370Z/Skylines and than to the high powerhouses like Corvette, Viper, tricked out Skylines or SLS AMG.

It's not just talked drivel, that I recomended the mX-5 at first.

I learned it while playing for the GT-R official record trophy.
Took around 10 successful laps to get the trophy, thus know the track.

I'll suggest you a 4WD on first place, let's say a Subaru Impreza Wrx Sti '10 stock, and when you get used to the racing line, if you want to go with something faster, try the Ferrari 430 scuderia and the Nissan GT-R, they are both fast and easy to drive even on sport hard tires ;)

This in combination with the AMG events are a great way to learn the track. They teach you two ways to learn it. The slightly oversteer prone SLS AMG way, and the more understeery arcade mode GTR 07 way. Even better is with the AMG events, youre forced to learn how to drive it without a racing line.

can some one please tell me which is the best car to learn Nurbergring track :indiff:

Hi, Try the Mercedes CLK touring car '06 (D2) (tuned: 622Hp @ 1000Kg) for the "German touring car" series. Then try it with the Formula GT car (Tuned: 936Hp @ 550Kg.) in "Dream Car".. Have fun.

Sounds abit like overkill to me. You'll be struggling to remember the track because of the speed and sheer effort it takes to keep the car on the road.

Although the Mercedes CLK touring car in stock condition would be a good choice once you basicly know the track and want to go for something quicker. The car just handles very neutral out of the box without any tweaks on suspension etc.

The Mercedes CLK touring car is very forgiving. It`s glued on the track. The best touring car. If you can`t do it with this car you`re lost :D
