Ok.what is a good car to use out of this list for use in the amatuer 80's cup race?:

Trueno
Trueno S.S.
Base Model Miata
RX-7 III INIFINI
Silvia K 1800

they are all stock.so which car should it be and what mods should be done to it?

Any of those could win it... You just have to decide which one you'll actually use for other races, because sinking a bunch of money into one of them just for the 80's cup isn't that good an investment. The RX-7 would probably be the easiest -- you could probably blow them away with just a Stage 1 Turbo and some racing tires.

You could always do the Begginer GT World Championship and get the Skyline GT-R Vspec II (R32). It can win both 80's cups, both Red Emblem races and all the 4WD challenges pretty easily.

I think the RX7 Infini could easily win, personally, I think I used a Skyline GTR R32...:) (Like BadBatsu said ;))

I used a red one myself, but I used my Trueno for the Beginner '80s Cup. Once I tuned the Skyline too far above 400 HP that "wailing cow" sound really got on my nerves, so I just use it in the "lower" races. (At least they have 6-speeds in GT 3!)

With out of doubt it is the 300ZX Twin Turbo 2seater that sells for 39,900 credits.:D

But the Skyline M-Spec (R32) is so horrible...I hate that car. :yuck: I think that was the one I used, come to think of it...

I'm using the Trueno (prize car) right now in that event. I'm just a second or two behind the "Panda" Shigeno Verison after two laps (which isn't bad, but it kills me by 8sec. in qualifying, so I can't complain).

Good enough for three 3rd places; just a Stage 1 NA as been added, because I can't afford better parts.

Actually, the RX-7 starts with the most HP to build on.
The SS Trueno can do it with some mods.
Either will need increased HP, suspension and transmission tuning. And SMOOTH steady driving. The AI in this race are a bit rude.
But the Tuner R-32 is worth it.:p

I used a 1.8l MX-5, tuned to about 310 hp, running T4s. That was quite a while ago and my driving was not great, but I remember the Tofumobile being all over me. My margin looks to have been about 1.7xx" at Trial Mountain.

i did the beginner GT race last night and won a celica GT-Four in Orange Mica.i don't care cause now i got about 215,000.now i can build up any car on the list.

i think i'm gonna try to build up the RX-7.

I did that race with the Special Edition Trueno ( Black and white) and it was very hard to win Trial Mountain II with it. Unfortunately I resorted to ramming the other Trueno into a wall.

i used the r32 the first time i played the game then when my game data got deleted i did it with the rx7... my best bet is to go with the rx7.

So the lead car is the SS? Well done...Why do people put T4 tires on their cars? I don't see any point, hard or medium is the way I go.

That thing is a tail happy little beast...:p It flings around everywhere!
