Best Cars for each price range

In my quest to get all 700+ cars, I have noticed that race cars come in several tiers, separated by the time peroid and/or nation of original and/or the class in which it competes.

Of the full race cars (not including the concepts and lower JGTC) there are several tiers:

1. $0.4-$0.6 million--a lot of the European touring cars are in this group, not as powerful, but they handle well.
2. $1 million--includes cars such as the Viper GTS-R, Corvette C5-R and the Gillet. What I see as notable about this tier is that most have around 1000 hp, and have downforce of 53 (rear)
3. $1.35 million--includes the JGTC cars, the supras, nsxs and skylines. They have higher downforce, more peaky.
4. $3.5 million--older Group C prototyes, powerful, have little difference between these and the LMPs. And the GT1s such as the CLK-GTR and F1
5. $4.5 million--newer LMPs, the BMW and Audi. Handle better than the Group C, but have less top speed (it seems)

Which would you say is the best in each of those groupings and the worst? I would say:

1. M3 GTR/3 Series Touring Car
2. Viper/Gillet
3. Skylines/NSXs
4. 787B/905
5. C9/Panoz GT-1

Firstly, good post.

I went and wasted big money on that 3 Series Touring Car thinking I could compete the german touring car championship. :ouch: I haven't even bothered racing it anywhere yet.

1. Never really liked the M3, but good choice.
2. Viper, I use it to beat Gillet's all the time, haha :P
3. I like the Chaparral 2J Jet wonder for 1.2 mil..... :yuck: 👎
4. 787 all the way
5. Sauber by far
