Best cars for pick-up race and muscle car championship

Hello there,

Lets assume money doesn't matter in this case.
I need a car for the pick-up race(s) and the muscle car race(s).
I need the BEST ONE! of both of them.

For A-spec and for B-spec.

What are the best cars for both race types?
 
All comes down to personal preference in my opinion. Depends on what you want to drive, how well you can drive it, how you can tune it and what you feel more comfortable in. Some people may like certain cars, but others may hate the cars. For example if I were to pick one for the muscle cars races I would pick the '66 Cobra 427, but in that instance, I know people who dont like the 427 because of its poor handling. For the truck race I would select he 1500 Ram but then again, people dont like it beause it doesnt handle too well with its size without the right tune.
 
I used the Dodge Ram on the pick-up race, I tuned the hell out of it and basically drove really aggressively to force my way through the pack. It isn't the best on corners though! Can't help you on the muscle car races, seem to have forgotten, but I probably used my Cobra.
 
Lightning, but I'm heavily biased
 
I used the Ford lightning truck and the Chevy concept for the pickup races both fully tuned and lengthened gear ratio's and top speed. Muscle car I can't remember what I used
 
I used a fully modified Lightning for the truck races and did just fine in A-Spec. In B-Spec, my Lightning did well but struggled a bit to pull away from an underestimated Toyota Tacoma, but still won the event. Now, being that you said money is no object, for A-Spec a Ford Mark IV Race Car '67 should make the Muscle Car Championship a walk in the park. I don't remember what car I used for this race but it might have been my Shelby Cobra 427 S/C Chrome Line (which was fully modified).
 
Daihatsu Midget. 'nuff said.
 
I've done the pickup challenge with the tacoma (fairly easy) and the F-150 (better-FYI, 7:38 on the Ring). I tuned up the Midget, and it was fun. Can't get a decent top speed, but will out-handle all other trucks with ease.
 
I've won all the Pickup seasonals with the Midget on Sport Soft, except Fuji, the straight is just too long.
 
Truck race: I get the feeling it doesn't much matter if you max out the vehicle. Or are you talking the seasonal? I used the lightning in both instances.

Muscle car race I think I used the RMed vintage Camaro and it was quite an easy/boring win.

If you're looking for a challenge maybe pick out one of the cars the AI drive that always end up in the mid to rear of the pack at the end of the race and drive that.
