For those who don't know what powercruise is:
Two cars, side by side around a corner with low speed, then at the beginning of the straight they slam the throttle to the floor.
It is like drag racing, only during a massive burnout. On GT5 it does make quiet a lot of fun though, because it is really realy difficult to keep the car from spinning.

So, i think the premium Mustang is quiet good for that, it still does a burnout at 210 km/h (130mph)
The M5 is also ok, but only spins it's tyres up to 180kmh.

Is there any othe good (smoking) car?

Here's a list, Burnout Top Speeds:
Gillet Vertigo Race Car : 270kmh/170mph
Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR: 230kmh/143mph
Ford Mustang (Premium): 210kmh/130mph
BMW M5: 180kmh/112mph

The list is going to be updated from time to time

Have you tried that with Shelby/AC Cobra's yet??? That could get interesting...

Have a good one

The cerbera speed 12.. Even on racing softs it will easily spin the tires over 100mph

My RX7 (FC) will light up a set all the way into 5th if I floor it.

I don't participate in this sport even if it's pretty common down here in the southern hemisphere so my knowledge and information I can offer you is limited, but I know my FC does what you're describing if I drive it poorly so take that for what it's worth :)

TVR Speed 12. Shelby Cobra. The end.

shelby 350gt...

The buick special should have burnouts somewhere in the 100's.

i'm going to test them and update the list

Well, if you get to about 5mph in an original Mini, then switch on the handbrake - it'll do a 'burnout' for the whole track.

Seriously though, the Charger Super Bee is an excellent burnout car :)

I think all the old muscle cars do burnouts up to 180-200km/h

http://youtu.be/iYeBHtoxs7gAny car with comfort hards and a lot of power would work, I've seen this on motortrend before when they went to australia. What I understand is whoever does the longest fastest burnout wins.

just tried the vertigo race car , around 900 hp and 700 kg , and stop burning around 270km/h

IIRC the standard car, no tunes or any other modification spins up in 3rd gear. None of my Cobras are stock so I'm going on memory alone. My fully tuned Cobra has a Supercharger fitted and is rarely on full throttle on a twisting circuit. It will easily top 220mph though!:dopey:

IIRC, keep everything stock but add the supercharger, and treat it like a drift car... you should see smoke in four gears!

Have a good one :sly:

GT350 Mustang will roast them for a while

A Supra RZ(Tuned up)

It will keep burning for awhile :P

Mclaren F1.

Most I can think of spontanous are already named here, the Art Morrison Corvette does burnouts to pretty extreme speeds too, but it's belonging into the muscle car category which has been mentioned.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage with big power will do the job greatly as well. Very fun to drive around tight tracks like London when flooring it every straight, nothing beats the feeling of sitting in a limousine trying to burn its tyres to death. You can literally draw two black stripes from corner exit to braking point. It's also more fun with active stability control turned on, because the car will keep rather straight doing burnouts now, instead of seemlessy switching between sliding sideways and going straight.

Basically any high power car will do high speed burnouts on Comfort tyres. Even a high grip 4WD car (e.g. GT-R) can spin its tyres up to high speed.

About exact speeds, gotta test that first. Not really bothered up to which speed these cars spin their tyres though.
