Okay so I've seen tons of cars ranging from as little as 7k to some surpassing 12M but i'm wondering..
Which ones are actually worth buying???
I know some of Gt5's best cars are exclusively found in the Used Car Dealership but I just don't know which ones! :(

Any help?

EDIT: So far I've set my sights on the Bentley Speed 8 RC
Gillet - Vertigo RC
Chaparall - 2J
Pescarlo - C60 Hybride
Suzuki - Escudo Dirt Trial Car

Please help in my quest to expand this list!!! Thanks in advance

Just start buying each and every single one, it kind of feels accomplishing when you can say "I have every car in the game."

The Toyota 7 is another expensive item that you should look out for, but it CAN be won in B-spec so it's probably worth investing your credits elsewhere.
In fact, the 'Like the Wind' event will give you expensive rewards in both specs - B-spec will give you the Toyota 7, and A-spec will give you the Cadillac Cien, a car which can easily reach 260 mph when fully tuned.
There's also the B-spec mazda roadster challenge which will give you the Furai, which is arguably almost as overpowered as the 2J given that it's essentially a very low PP LMP car.
Cars which I would almost CERTAINLY buy are the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 and GRAN TURISMO Skyline (Pace) (I know that's not how they call it, but bluh just get the car that has (Pace) at the end of the name). The Cerbera Speed 12 is absolutely ridiculous and very rare (and tradeable, so you might be able to trade it for something nice!), and the Pace car is very useless and very, VERY desirable due to the fact that it's the closest thing to a cop car in the game.
Just Go for cars thar are expensive
Not all expensive cars are all that..

Can you look what are the cars in the OCD for today? It might be a good help for you to look for the cars at that range or level.

All the Le Mans Prototype cars with the R8 Race Car '01 being the priority

All the GT500 / SuperGT NSX's with the TAKATA DOME NSX '03 the priority, as well as the NOMAD Diablo GT1 '00

All the GT cars like Viper GTS-R Oreca, Zonda LM Race, with the priority McLaren F1 GTR Race Car ' 97

Zonda road cars, because there aren't any premium ones. Zonda C12S 7.3 '02 is the best one

R390 GT1 Road Car '98 And NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car because they dominate all other 'road cars' in the game

2J Race Car '70 because.. 2J

All the muscle cars you can find, because they're good to have. Like the Cuda 440 Six Pack '71 and the Chevelle SS 454 '71

Supra RZ '97 Because iconic car

overall I recommend you buy every race car in the game because they're all worth having for some reason or another. It took me a long time to get them all but, UCD hunting is oddly rewarding when you finally find what you're looking for

"Buy the Nomad" - "Buy the R390" - "Buy the blah blah blah!"

All crap. Just buy the cars YOU want to own or race.
Just make sure you keep your money up by running a few seasonals.

Some of these 'Awesome' cars I don't own simply because I don't like them.

My post is "crap" ? I took the effort of typing out all the cars he will want to own or race, regardless of if he knows it yet. They're top tier cars...

Telling someone not to get an R390 because 'you don't like it' is bloody terrible advice mate

If you dont race online or compete in seasonals, your advice is fine. But if you actually play this game, heed my post.

There is a list of all the cars in the Used Car Lot... SO you can predict just when a car will turn up again.

With Seasonal Events chucking kazula Credits at you for even a modest result cash should not be an issue.

First Price of a Car
If it is over 1,000,000 then another player can't gift it to you... SO If you need a certain car you can't ask for someone to give it you. So if it is over a Million look to buying it NOW as you may want it later.

SO Over a Million - Come on, Buy it. BUY IT NOW!

The Lister Storm
Panoz GT1
Lambo Diablo
Gillet Vertigo
All seem to be pretty hard to find. It took me ages to get the Storm and Vertigo.

So Under a Million?

Tommykaira ZZ-II is a cheap and cheerful monster car.

The Toyota Alteeza Touring Car is another Bargain - very cheap but has Racing Tyres and Aero and easy going handling.

Ruf's and TVR's are all gold. Shelby Series One and the GT350R (Mustang) are nuggets.

Buy them all - try them.

Fair enough, indeed.

I think you may have misread my post to be taking it so personally.

Firstly - I didn't say your post was crap, but telling a person they should buy a car because they WILL need it is an influence of YOUR opinion.
I completed the game without buying most of the cars you have mentioned. There are alternatives to choose from that are just as capable.

Secondly - I didn't tell the OP which car to buy or not to buy. My advice was simply for him to buy the cars he likes, cars he enjoys driving not just cars that can give him an easy win. There is no fun or challenge in an easy win race.

Finally - I often race online and I always complete the seasonals, but I don't choose cars that will obliterate other racers because I like a challenge, (see above).

So before you comment on how I play GT5..... "Heed MY post".

Thanks a bunch guys! Got a lot to write down now. I'm sure you guys listed the winning cars which is awesome. I'll use the UCD Search to predict and collect as many as possible.

This might sound a bit ridiculous but.. is there such thing as a "Feel Good" car?

I was watching a Top Gear episode where May and the other guys were testing a concept Lamborghini car made completely out of Carbon Fiber, they then said the car was suprisingly very easy to drive.

Now, i'm expecting a Logitech Driving Force GT delivery next week. I was wondering... is there a car similar to that concept car on TopGear?
Sort of opposite to a car that would be considerd a "beast" or a "wild animal"
Or am I asking for too much?

I would also like good performance cars for the 300 400 and 500pp limits please

Thanks in advance! You guys are
AWESOME

I try to buy cars that I need for certain events and that I couldn't win otherwise.

I just picked up the Zonda '00 at the UCD today for the fun of it. Thanks to the GT book I realized that the Zonda '09 is a prize car, not the '00 version. The book is a great reference guide.

I also picked up the Chevrolet Camaro racing car in order to complete the American race in the Extreme event hall. I'm not in the mood to try that event with a NASCAR, that's for sure.

On a side note, I made the mistake of repainting the Camaro race car. Didn't realize the two-tone paint job would go away. Now it looks kinda bad if you asked me. Oops

Now I'm waiting for the Formula Gran Turismo to make it's presence known in the UCD. Who knows when it'll appear again...

The FGT is always in the OCD for $5mill.

2J car is one of my most prized possessions . I won it on my birthday ticket ;-)

Escudo Dirt Car - Phenomenal!

Alfa Romeo 155 2.5 V6 TI#8 -worth every penny of 1.5 mil IMO

Subaru Impreza WRX GT5 TC fantastic

Mines Skyline.

So many come to mind that have proved outrageously fun or perfectly capable of winning Seasonals ( making money )

Don't discount some of the new dealer finds. Amuse,HKS

A few have brought up the R390GT1. I don't have 1 and didn't know I was looking for one. What 's it's niche' ? What does it bring to the table that other cars don't ?

Simply put it is the best road car in the game. To be specific "non race car" which is why this car dominates the "non race car" seasonal time trials

It gets up to 35 / 80 downforce with a rear wing installed and goes above 650PP.

Wow! That sounds great! For the longest I thought the McLaren from the dealership was best

Once again, this would be relative. For me, a 'feel good' car is the Caterham Fireblade. Change the oil, put on a sports exhaust (leave tyres & suspension alone) & enjoy the grin factor :D it should surely evoke... (Preferably use one of PD's Eifel custom flowing & twisty tracks in the seasonals.)

I bought cars I'd raced as a slot car racer in the 1960s as fast as possible. The Chap 2D is fun, as is the Ferrari 330P4. I love the Shelby Mustang, that's not the correct name in GT5 but what I knew it as at the time and the Cobra is fun too.

I made a shed load of money with both the Ferrari 438 and Mas' Gran Tourismo in the old Seasonals. Both great to drive in any state of tune from stock to fully tweaked.

If you want a rally car, I suggest the Lancer Evolution Super Rally Car '03. IMO, the car is responsive and also has an acceptable acceleration.
