Best Digital Camera?

Hi, I am thinking of purchsing a digital camera that can take really high quality pictures for only a small amount of money, also i also want a compact one that i can carry around in my pocket.. (too lazy for big ones). I am thinking of the Olympus D-390 2.0 megapixel camera because of its compact size..

I am wondering.. Anyone got any ideas on the "Compact" digital camera that can take good shots? My budget is around 200-250 bucks

i like Canon, got an A70 Powershot myself and it works great.

also check Biz Rate and Amazon for reviews and decide which is best for you
 
My advice would be to save up a little more money and get out of the 2mp range.

I'm in the market for a new camera also, and I'm seriously thinking about the new Sony DSC-T1. It is a 5.1 megapixel with 3x optical, an unusually large 2.5 inch lcd, and it will easily fit into my pocket.

The only thing I'm worried about is that the large lcd will drain my battery(s) too quickly. I'm reading mixed reviews on this..

It retails for $550-600, but I have seen it sell for under $500 on eBay. Good luck! :)
