Just as title says. Looking to replace my G29 with a DD wheel and FFB pedal combo. About $500 is my limit. Whats your suggestions and why? Cant wait to try the brake pedal with FFB. Ive gotten pretty good over the last 4 yrs with the G29 and I think the brake pedal will really help me get that last bit of technique and feedback Im missing. TY

You want a DD wheelbase AND pedal set with force feedback for $500? I assume you mean $US?

Nothing at all comes to mind.

Also - is this for PC or Playstation?

I would probably get this at your budget, but no gimmick on the pedal, just regular pedals (fyi). I bought the old version of that wheel and still use it. I do have the 8nm version tho and bought other pedals as well. But if it's a first wheel and 500 is your budget, get this.

I never had a problem with fanatec so I can't speak about customer support but I heard the American one were pretty bad, not sure how it now that corsair bought it back.

I wouldnt buy logitech because that company is ass even if it's from my country. I hate them and I hate their customer support.

As far as Moza goes, never owned one so can't comment. My T300 rs serve me well before it retire for the DD+, so thrustmaster was ok for me as well but never had to deal with the customer service either.

You can get 5% off by using code you can find around the internet. SUPERGT5 is one that you can use, money go to SuperGT on youtube a content creator I like and who's part of this site. I know gtplanet have one too, you can probably find it out here if you look for it.

ps5. not sure the going prices so i may have to pay more.

What exactly do you mean with "ffb pedals"?
Active pedals like what simucube and moza have? Or something like the clubsport v3 pedals from fanatec?
This requirement alone limits your choices drastically... There are just 3 manufacturers (Fanatec, Logitech & Thrustmaster, Moza has an xbox compatible wheelbase) that have playstation compatibility (exclusing third party "hacks" and workarounds like the drivehub), with fanatec having the "most" choices for pedals. But fanatec is the "premium" brand and will be probably more than $500 (at least when you're looking for new)...

You sure you mean FFB pedals? More likely would be you hope for Load Cells at that price point.

Aside from the cost, any pedal set with feedback (whether true FFB, rumble or haptic motors) will require mounting to ensure they’re stable. So in case you’re still playing at a desk, you’ll likely have to either DIY something up or purchase a wheelstand or sim rig.

ive had this set up for about 5 yrs now. Done some tweaking and turned my pedals upside down to get the feel of real pedals irl that im used too. thats a g29 wheel and pedal board. the seat im not sure what it is as i cant remember. the rig itself is good for me and i only had to add 1 support beam under the shifter arm to take the wiggle out when using the wheel. very happy with it all but now want dd wheel and load cells. i need that brake push back modulation in real time.

PS5 compatibility really limits the options. Fanatec CSL DD GT3 bundle is basically the only game in town at that price point for console. But those are the standard two-pedal set, not load cell. Another $150ish for the LC pedal upgrade if brake feel is the priority. The 5nm base alone is still a massive upgrade from the G29 though. Worth starting with the bundle and upgrading pedals later.
