I have been the proud owner of a 360 & PGR3 now for 1 week & 1 day. Love playing gotham whenever i get the chance, am currently going through the main mode for a 2nd time trying to do them on Hardcore.

Am planning on buying DOA 4 tomorrow & was wondering what people thought would be the best FPS to get?? Have played the demo of Prey & liked it, but i prefer shooting people to aliens usually, lol. I like the look of Quake 4.

I dont have Live yet, so i cant download demo's so what would people say is the best FPS for the 360??

Well, it really depends. If you want the best online FPS, Battlefield 2 MC is the best. For single player, Call of Duty 2 or GRAW (even though it's not really a FPS, but a TPS, but it's still really good).

COD 2, well at least if you can still stand WW2 shooters, it is one of the best, great atmosphere and a huge online community...

I'm not on Live so i don't care about how good it is online. I forgot about call of duty. May well get that.
Got DOA4 today & love it.

Call of Duty must be the best offline FPS, with Prey not being too far behind.

Online, it has to be Battlefield 2. Very challenging in places, and plays extremely well.

Since we are talking FPS I will mention these.
The single player in GRAW is extremely good and a must buy.
Call of Duty 2 is another really fun FPS and quite long too. Set it to at least normal for really intense game play. Rent this one because you can beat it in a day or 2.
I also really enjoyed the single player in PREY but once you beat it there really is no replay value since the multiplayer lags soo bad online. Rent this one.
If you like zombie killing games you should try Dead Rising too.
EDIT: Needed to add Half Life 2 (xbox version)

So Call of Duty 2 is a "quite long game" but i should rent it as i can complete it in a day or 2?
I may well rent Prey at some point as i've often read of how short it is.

On the hardest mode, you'll need about a week. On the easiest/normal, I'd say it might be possible if you put a lot of hours into it. It all depends on how good you are at this type of game.

COD2
I cant remember but I think I had about 10-12 hours into the single player on easy. I beat the single player in one day but played most of the day to do it since it was a rental. Then I tried it on Veteran and beat the first level. It would take you a long time to beat the game on Veteran. A long time. Probably at least a week straight. It is extremely hard on Veteran so if you like a challenge buy the game and try to beat it on Veteran. I recomend going through it first on easy then try veteran.
PREY
I beat Prey on the normal mode in about 12-15 hours. It is definetly worth playing because so far there is no other FPS that is like this game yet. The portals and the way the level spins and flips over is just awesome! Really fun walking on ceilings and walls. The first level is so boring and cheesy but is only about 5 minutes long then the game picks up quick after the first level. I hightly recommend this game as a must play for sure. Each level is better and better! But like I said if you play it on the normal mode you will beat it in about 12-15 hours.
Half Life 2
I also forgot to mention Half Life 2 for the xbox. It will eventually come out on the 360 also but for now you can play Half Life 2 on the xbox and it is backwards compatible meaning you can play the xbox version on the 360. That is a very good FPS as I am sure you have heard.
There are enough games mentioned in this thread to keep you busy for at least several weeks to a month of straight game playing. 👍
I will add Half Life 2 to my above post.

A week? That's if you play 10 hours a day. 10 hours of really, really intense gaming. You'd probably need a friend near you to call 911 when you collapse.
