I was just wondering what the best rx-7 in gt5 is. I did a search and found no good answers. My best so far is the 01 bathurst r. It has less pp than the 02 spirit r but its lighter more powerful and gets better lap times. Im also excluding the rx-7 race.
For me the Spirit feels superior. I couldn't gold that RX7 seasonal event at Tsukuba with the Bathurst no matter how hard I tried but it took me only 2 runs to make it with the Spirit.
The RZ models are also pretty fast. The 2000 model has most power but is heavier than the old ones.
'2000 - fully run in w. oil change 304 bhp and 1270 kg.
'1996 - fully run in w. oil change 275 bhp and 1250 kg.
I'd have to say the Bathurst is possibly the best RX7.
I've never really thought much of the RZ models but the Spirit R is close.
Its between the Bathurst & Spirit in my opinion.
