I'm basically looking for the best way to earn money on GT5. I've been playing legit since I got the game, so preferably no techniques which involve cheating. That said, I mainly grind the Turbo Event in the Expert Series, and now that I won the Bugatti Veyron it takes me 3 minutes and 9 seconds per race (36k each race) Not terrible, that's about 700k per hour. But in the end, it's both a tedious and slow way of earning money and at this point I just want to know if there are any better ways of doing this legitly. If not then I'm open to hearing the illegit ways too.

What Level are you? If you're high enough, I would recommend the Dream Car Championship. Fending off the XJR-9 is fun enough. The polyphony digital cup is easy too, plus it's a good way to get more miles out of your weaker cars.

When PSN comes back online, you can take a few rounds at the Lightweight Challenge - Eifel Kart race at Seasonal Races. At only 3 minutes (assumed in an RM'ed Cappuccino), you receive 100k Cr on only one race! That's only 30 minutes to hit 1 million Cr! Otherwise, you could do what InsertGr8Name did: Do Dream Car Champ at Champ mode at B-Spec (need to be lvl 25 at B-Spec, though). You can get 800k Cr in more than an hour. This also applies at A-Spec, but it's more tedious that way. However, it's a bit quicker than B-Spec as the races on that mode has way more laps.

A great way to earn money regardless of your level is remote B-spec.

Once PSN is back up, make a second account on your PS3 so you can use it to run all of your drivers on your main account and use the widget found here to start races automatically for you when you're asleep or away from home.

I highly recommend you try it. I have 6 drivers with 600,000 - 700-000 Cr. each after running it overnight for just several days.

👍 This.

I don't quite understand what you mean, but I don't want to be leaving my PS3 on 24/7 either.

And I asked this question a while ago and I was told that the best tracks were Daytona on the American Championship, High SPeed Ring (or something) on the Turbo Event, and then the European Championship. I'm currently level 21, which is why I'm doing the Turbo along with finishing the other expert events.

How much money do the Dream Car Championship and Polyphony Digital cup earn you? I'm surprised I haven't heard of either of these, although I'm probably too low a level atm.

First, here's a guide on remote B-spec: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=183744

Second, I wish I knew what to tell you. Remote B-spec is the best way if you want plenty of money without the tedious monotony of grinding yourself. So is A-spec Auto Grinding, but you're not high enough to do that as you can't attempt to get a X2010 until you get to level 30 A-spec. Another way to get the X2010 is to grind B-spec until you get to level 35, but I'm not sure if you're willing to go through all of that. Also, you don't even have to run your PS3 overnight to grind remote B-spec if you don't want to. Just do it for a few hours a day or so. You're still getting good money with zero effort on your part.

And grinding the Poly Digital Cup and Deram Car Championship yourself is not worth it with remote B-spec and A-spec Auto Grinding around.

When you get to level 23, go to last set of event on top, you can race american championship indy circuit and get 98,000 in under 4 minutes.

I do both legit and illegit way to earn Cr.

Legit: American championship Indy with a ZR1 modded.
Illegit: Like the Wind Indy with an X2010.

👍
While we are offline this is the best way to go.

if you aren't there yet, just keep doing what you are doing. When seasonals come back on use them for quick CR.

Lots of threads on this already..

Level 17 - Turbo Challenge, High Speed Ring, GT-R Spec V 36k/3-4min
Level 21 - Like the Wind, Indy with a Corvette ZR1 RM - 70k/4 min
Level 23 - Amercian Championship, Indy.. Corvette ZR1 RM - 80k/4 min
FULLY AUTOMATED B-Spec Grinder - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=185890 ... Not sure how fast this generates cash
FULLY AUTOMATED A-Spec Grinder - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=161147 - 70k/4 min (using X2010 on Like the Wind Indy)

I think there is one more easy grind prior to level 17 but I forget what it is

In my opinion, the A-Spec Grinder is the best. Who cares if it is not legit.. IMO it is bs that you have to grind at all.

Edit - And the most effective way to B-Spec grind is to create a SECONDARY account who is PSN friends with your primary account such that ALL primary b-spec drivers are being grinded. This is faster than just grinding one b-spec driver on the primary account.

Edit: Fixed ZR6 -> ZR1

Seeing as psn is down right now, the remote spec race isn't working right? I took a look a the a-spec grinding method which involves angling the joysticks on the controller and such, and I just doing think it's worth the effort making that setup and furthermore leaving my ps3 on for hours on end if I'm not here.

So I looked into the grinding races suggested, and for the "like the wind" race, which car should I use? I've been using the boogati veyron I won from the professional championship, but I can't even get close to winning with that car even at almost 1200 hp.

*note: I can't get the zr6 rm nor the Toyota minolta yet. I always check the UCD, but have yet to see either of those.

I think driving a Corvette on the American Championship at Indy is very fun and enjoyable, For some odd reason, when I drive the X2010 at Indy for Like The Wind or Dream Car, I get really fatigued easily, but with the Z06/ZR1 RM, it isn't too bad, it's really fun in my opinion. Besides, the American Championship gives you nearly 100k per race, and if you do it right, you should be done in under 4 minutes.

The veyron is poopy in the game, seriously. Too heavy and not made for racing. Get your race modded zr-1 corvette out there--he tears it up. Or the minolta. Get racing soft tires for both and crank up the downforce. Easy money.

Lol, now you add that. Grind a different race until you can get the vette, then win the like the wind in a spec to get the minolta.

The American Championship at Indy is the best that I've found and it seems to be for a lot of people. Plus, using the fully modded ZR1 RM will get that $97k in less than 4 minutes, it's fun to drive and is useful for future events.

Red Bull X2010 on Like The Wind (Superspeedway Indy). Borrow the X2010 if you don't have one. Takes under 3 minutes to finish one race which gets you 70,000 cr (if you're driving). If you want to make money while away from the game, use rubber bands or do the same race in B-Spec.

Well I never took the veyron to be race car material, but the amazing speed just seemed to win it for me on the straightaways.

As far as the corvettes, which one should I be getting? I've got people telling me to get 3 or 4 different ones, so which is the best?
Is the minolta only from UCD?

For the setup you suggested, are racing softs necessary? I generally buy racing meds even for 5 lap races, and I just don't like thinking that the softs will wear out too quickly. That said, I'm definitely willing to try them.

Get the Corvette ZR-1 from the premium dealership, take it to GT Auto and apply racing modifications. Then add the rest of the tuning parts. The MINOLTA is a prize car from A-Spec Like The Wind. Racing softs are noticeably better on most cars, and they don't wear out any slower unless you're doing endurance races (or B-Spec extreme races or online races with tire wear).

Buy the ZR1 in the Chevy new car dealership and race modify it in the shop once you get enough money to do so. Then search on GT Planet forums for the right tune to do Indy in the American Championship. If I remember correctly: transmission at 242 mph, downforce at 35 front 35 rear. I also set the camber out a little front and back so that the Vette will stick to the road on the oval better through all those left hand turns. You don't need to turn off all the aids to win the race without a problem, but you will get better at driving without any of the aids on and will get better lap times by 2-3 seconds each lap. Moreover, its more fun in my opinion.

Also, the racing softs will not wear out on a 5 lap race at Indy in the American Championship.

Edit: also, get all the upgrades after you RM it. And yes, get the supercharger... :)

Alright did that. Thanks for the help guys. It's not that I didn't have enough for it at the time, rather someone posted about a vette zr6 rm which I assumed came from the UCD. Is the zr1 better?

Edit: just got all the best parts for it; should I also get the roll cage and supercharger?

What they said.... nearly 100k for less than 4 minutes. I use the Dodge Viper Oreca, wins by 11 to 12 seconds (with my set up) .... and the best thing? It slaughters that poxy 2J!!!!

There are 5 races & you get 86 600 per race. That's 433 000 for the races. You then get another 433 000 for the championship. So that's 866 000 in total. (A & B spec) And it's fun to do as well. After all, you got the game to drive, didn't you? 💡

I think I said you need the ZR6. I meant ZR1.

ZR6 is the luxury model of the RAV4 that they have in Australia.

By the way, for the A-spec grinder you mentioned that it was too much effort. All you need are a couple of rubber bands. Some people use a dime and a rubber band. Takes 2 minutes then you can walk away. Much less effort than grinding the Indy over and over again... That is truly a game killer.

Ah, that confused me a lot @_@ I saw most people saying the ZR1, someone may have also mentioned the Z06, but I just wasn't sure if the ZR6 was supposed to be better than the ZR1 or something. I started looking for it in the Dealership and had never seen it in the UCD; but yep that makes sense then.

Just as an update, I already got the ZR1 fully tuned up and won the "Like the Wind" and received the Minolta (that is one fast car).

So to clarify, at this point the American Championship is the only one worth doing A-Spec driving on? And the Dream Car Champ is only worth it for the Remote B-Spec / A-Spec grind *cheat* method?

In the guide I read, it said you also need to use a usb keyboard to keep the enter button pressed which, I don't have anyways. (could try with my Ipad)
Also, would you come in 1st place using that method on American Championship?

Yes you need a keyboard. I forgot that part.

B-Spec Grinder is not race specific.

There are 3 different challenges with Indy. Like the Wind, American CHampionship and Dream Car Championship.

American is obviously limited to US cars, so you can't use a super fast car to grind. I do it in Like the Wind, because the race is 5 laps. Dream Car version is 10 laps, but if you work out the credits per minute, it is less.

And you don't need to come first. Althought if you do, it is obviously better... Using the X2010 on Like the Wind doesn't even guarantee first - although if you have a non-abused engine and clean oil you should be coming first easily. Like the Wind 1st = 70k, 2nd = 50k, last = ~40k... So even coming last you should be able to make about 500-600k an hour.

Edit - The fastest way to make cash is what he said.. below.. But the drawback is that it is manual.

Just buy the Ford GT Test Car LM Spec II, race at Indianapolis (American Championship) ... and get every 5 minutes (including loading) 97K, so after 10 races you get nearly 1M.

You could also check after 5 races for a nice car at the UCD, since the UCD cars will be refreshed after every 5 loading process.

Not bad at all should I say!
:)

Well the way I worked it out, Like The Wind is 20,000 credits per minute with the minolta, whereas the American Championship is 25,000 credits per minute with the ZR1 so obviously the American one is better. That said, I'm one lvl away from unlocking Dream Car Championship so I'll see how that one works out.

And would you recommend the Ford GT over the ZR1? I've already spent about 500k on this car and I quite like it; it certainly gets the job done.

The general consensus around the forum is the ZR1.

And I don't think Dream Car is as good as American Championship, simply because it is a 10 lap race as opposed to 5
